EastEnders Spoilers: Adam Woodyatt Opens Up About Possible Ian Beal Return

EastEndersEastEnders spoilers, news, and updates tease that Adam Woodyatt has opened up about the possibility of reprising his role as Ian Beale on the show. There have been rumors that he’ll be returning to Albert Square. But is any of it true?

Woodyatt left the soap to focus on Looking Good Dead, where he plays a leading role. The soap icon left last year and after his departure, he also appeared on I’m a Celebrity.

EastEnders Spoilers – The Door Is Open

In an interview with Christine Lampard on Lorraine, Woodyatt addressed questions as to whether he would reprise his role as Ian Beale.

“It doesn’t matter what happens, I’m always going to be Ian Beale. He’s part of the country,” he added.

He didn’t confirm that he was going back to Albert Square, but he teased that “the door is open.”

“That door is open and lots of other doors are open!” he shared.

Since his exit, Woodyatt has been keeping himself busy. He returned to the stage and recently joined the production of The Lincoln Center Theater’s production of My Fair Lady.

The actor will play Alfred P Doolittle in the musical, which is scheduled to tour the UK and Ireland after it wraps up its West End run later in 2022.

EastEnders Spoilers – Why Did Adam Woodyatt Leave EastEnders?

Woodyatt explained that he decided to leave because his alter ego needed to go.

“Not me going, ‘I wanna leave’, or them saying, ‘You’re going’. That was the storyline,” he shared.

“They’ve got to come up with a storyline; they’ve got to ask me to go back. The timing has got to be right for me to go back because I don’t know what else I’m going to be doing,” he explained.

It’s been revealed that EastEnders is gearing up for a shocking flashback episode. It will take viewers down memory lane and back to 1979 with the Mitchells. The soap will drop a surprising revelation about DI Samantha Keeble (Alison Newman) and her connection to Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).

Back to the present day, Keeble will continue to pressure Phil to become a police informant. The latter will also be surprised to learn who Keeble wants him to snitch on. Fans need to stay tuned to learn why Keeble has it out for the Mitchells.

EastEnders’ boss Chris Clenshaw teased that “Family is going to be at the center of the show – starting with the Mitchells.”
