Prince Harry And Meghan Markle British royal family news divulges that Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle’s popularity ratings are at their lowest following their bombastic interview with Oprah Winfrey on March 7.

According to a new poll, the pair’s popularity sank after the broadcast, in which the couple made multiple accusations of mistreatment and bad behavior against both their families.

The British public were not amused. According to a new YouGov survey, Prince Harry’s popularity plunged 15 points after the broadcast.

Meghan’s popularity sank almost the same amount, by 13 points in the last 10 days.

Conversely Britons are most fond of the Queen, with four in five people (80 per cent) approving of her.

Prince William and his wife Kate remain popular with about three quarters of Britons giving them thumbs up.

Still, the Markle’s are nowhere near the cesspool that Prince Andrew is swimming in. He is by far the most unpopular royal, with an 82 per cent disapproval rating, according to the poll.

The poll was conducted of more than 1,600 Britons between March 10 and 11 and shows that public opinion of Prince Harry turned negative after Sunday night’s cryfest interview.

The figures now show 45 per cent of Britons have a positive opinion of Prince Harry, and 48 per cent regard him negatively.
Interestingly, since October there has been a rise in over 65s wanting an elected head of state, according to the poll.

On Thursday William became the first senior royal to verbally address Harry and Meghan’s shocking allegations and it was swiftly reported that Buckingham Palace and Clarence House, the official homes of the Queen and the Prince of Wales, were both supportive of William’s statement.

The prince spoke as he and his wife Kate conducted a royal event, a visit to a school in east London. It was said that the couple would not answer questions about the interview because it would “not be appropriate” in a school setting.

But William answered two shouted questions by a reporter after Buckingham Palace issued a statement on Tuesday on behalf of the Queen. His words reflected the statement sentiments which expressed the family’s sadness at learning the “full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.”
