British Royal family news reveals following Prince Harry, Duke Of Sussex and Meghan Markle’s turbulent interview with Oprah Winfrey, it looks like the one person who seems to be dealing with the aftermath the most is Piers Morgan, and his name wasn’t even mentioned once.

But because the controversial British personality couldn’t stop bashing Meghan on his talk show, Good Morning Britain, he ended up walking away from his job and then getting canned altogether. This, despite the fact that he hasn’t spoken to or personally seen Meghan in several years. As complicated as their history is, here are three things you need to know about it.

Piers And Meghan Had A Mutual, Platonic Friendship

Piers Morgan claims that he and Meghan Markle actually had a platonic friendship back in 2015 and that they were in constant communication for about a year, or at least until Meghan met Harry sometime in 2016. Piers claims that the moment Meghan met Harry, she supposedly ‘ghosted’ Piers and they never spoke again. Meghan apparently never gave Piers a reason as to why she stopped taking his phone calls, but this is something that Piers simply can’t get over. He feels as though he was cut out of her life in the same way that she supposedly cut her family out, too.

Piers Has Spent Many Years ‘Warning’ Prince Harry

Even though the Duchess of Sussex herself has not said a word about Piers, he has spent the last several years trashing her and apparently trying to ‘warn’ Prince Harry that if she can ghost him, she can certainly ghost anybody. If that weren’t enough, Piers also invited Meghan’s estranged half-sister Samantha Markle to Britain on a not-so-royal press tour. It seemed like no matter how much time and energy Piers put in to get Meghan’s attention, she refused to give it to him.

He Refuses To Apologize For His Comments

After over 41,000 complaints were made from UK viewers about Piers’ behavior on Good Morning Britain, he has now gone on the record to say that he refuses to apologize for disbelieving Meghan Markle’s claim that she experienced suicidal thoughts while she pregnant in 2018. Instead, Piers says that he became the latest victim of “cancel culture” and also warns that free speech is something everyone needs to protect.
