CBS The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that the Abbott family will be rocked to its core after embarking on a journey to uncover even more of matriarch Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) past. That’s right, there are still more shockers to uncover and her kids hope they can do so before she succumbs to Alzheimer’s.
The last secret to the surface was a mystery child. It seems that Dina had a son who the family never knew about. And that son had a son, who just happened to be in town, Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson).
In a great soapy coinkydink, Theo is besties with his heretofore unknown cousin, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Apparently that story has played out and now it’s time to go digging around for more secrets. Too bad TPTB hadn’t thought of what a goldmine Dina’s past could be before they gave her a fatal disease.

The story has brought back Eileen Davidson as Ashley Abbott. Showrunners have hinted that as a result of the family’s journey, Ashley will find romance.
