‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Phyllis Underestimating Abby Could Cost Her Everything

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) believes that she’s going to beat Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway). Yes, her unwanted Grand Phoenix partner initially bested her when she first began her spite hotel project. But some planted dinosaur bones helped to indefinitely halt construction.

But Abby surprised Phyllis, when both ladies were verbally jousting in the lobby of their hotel. Ordway’s character said that she had to earn everything she ever achieved because her family underestimated her.

Viewers saw Stafford’s reaction shot. Yes, Phyllis wasn’t expecting to learn that information.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Spa Idea Appears To Be Sharp

Phyllis is a highly creative, resilient person. She’s super smart, but has often gotten herself into trouble by not being able to channel her ideas and energy in positive directions. There’s also the issue about her not being able to play nice with people, which means Abby in this situation.

The presentation Phyllis will make to a number of Genoa City, Wisconsin’s, most prominent ladies at the GP will be her latest attempt to expand her comeback efforts. Phyllis’ arguably cloaked inferiority complex is expressed through her need to go bold with everything. As she does so, Abby is likely to be seen as eventually fading.

Y&R Spoilers – Abby Newman Is Riding High

It’s been a long time since Abby took to her horse and rode through town as herself. Emme Rylan (Abby, and currently Lulu Spencer Falconeri on General Hospital) was embodying this character at that point in show history.

Today’s Abby has developed her business acumen, isn’t looking for praise from every corner, like Phyllis, and is developing a solid relationship that could be lasting with Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz). On all points, Abby projects as the likely winner in a head-to-head with Red.

Phyllis has staked whatever her evolving persona is with the Phoenix as her home base. But Abby is owed a lot of money and won’t be decoupling from this business venture until Phyllis pays every penny of the buyout price.

So, Stafford’s character will need to keep giving Abby a large amount of cash every month, unless she can score with one, or more other projects. Phyllis believes her spa idea will help in that regard.

But just as she sabotaged Abby’s spite hotel, so too can Ordway’s savvy character play a similar game. If this projection works, then Phyllis’ spa plan could fail, along with her ability to pay the debt that’s owed to Abby.
