General Hospital News Update: Kin Shriner Impressed With This GH Actor’s Choices He Brought To His Character

General Hospital: Kin Shriner (Scotty Baldwin)ABC General Hospital spoilers reveal that Kin Shriner (Scotty Baldwin) is mighty impressed with the choices one of his costars has brought to his onscreen persona. We’re talking about Michael E. Knight who plays Martin Gray.

Most fans remember Knight as the inimitable, one of a kind, Tad “The Cad” Martin from ABC’s All My Children where he reigned supreme in the show’s glory days.

He has been seen sporadically on GH as a lawyer and currently is representing Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) in her custody trial against Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell).

He has been a welcome sight for many daytime fans who would love it if the show found a more permanent place for the soap legend. And by the sound of it, Shriner is just as impressed by his costar.

As Scott, Shriner has gone up against Martin in the courtroom. Scott has always been a guy not afraid to embrace his shady side but we don’t yet know all that much about Martin except that he aims to win for his clients.

According to Shriner, Gray is responsible for bringing out the Southern side of Gray. He recently spoke with Soap Opera Digest and explained how it came to be that Gray is a Southern gentleman.

Back when Gray was representing Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) he made a key decision that has made all the difference to his character. “When we were doing the trial, Michael, he just felt that with the way it was written that it came out with a Southern twang,” said Shriner who added that he thought, “What a great choice.”

As he notes, Knight’s instincts were golden; he was nominated for an Emmy for his portrayal of the Southern lawyer.
