Days Of Our Lives Spoilers and Recap: Jan Spears Surprise Witness – Will & Sonny Leave Salem – Philip & Xander Co-CEOs

Days Of Our Live: Will Horton (Chandler Massey), Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) NBC Days of Our Lives spoilers recap for Tuesday, September 1, reveal that Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) told Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) in no uncertain terms that if he wasn’t chosen as CEO, he’d walk out the door. Victor grumped at both Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) and Philip, then he got a text about something and had to go, leaving Xander and Philip alone in the Kiriakis living room.

Xander and Philip proceeded to bicker, with Xander blasting Philip for doing a poor job of running Titan in the past. Philip fired back that Xander was jealous, which made Xander scoff. Xander said he was protective of Victor, and that Philip wasn’t even around when Victor got stabbed. Xander said that Philip should concentrate on being a son rather than a CEO.

Philip said that he wasn’t going anywhere, and more bickering ensued until Philip insulted Xander by saying he wasn’t worthy of spreading manure in the garden. Xander asked who Philip thought he was talking to, and he proceeded to head-butt, Philip. Philip reeled, then said that was just like Xander – once a thug, always a thug. Philip and Xander prepared to duke it out.

Marlena got Brady caught up on all the latest Salem goings-on, then John made a noise, and Brady talked to his dad, saying that he was here for him.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers and Recap: Jan Spears Surprise Witness - Will & Sonny Leave Salem - Philip & Xander Co-CEOs

At Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) and Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughan) apartment, Nicole was upset about Eric lying in court for her. Nicole thought that Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) would never stop and that Eric would always be caught in the middle. Nicole suggested that they give up the custody fight, but Eric asked if she really wanted to let the baby go. Nicole said no, and soon Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) arrived to say that the judge was ready to announce her decision.

At Days Of Our Lives Marlena and John’s penthouse, Sami was on the phone threatening someone about something when Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) arrived to say that they’re leaving Salem today. Sami was upset and tried to make excuses for why they couldn’t go, but ultimately Sami relented and gave Will and Sonny her blessing.

DOOL Spoilers –  Lucas Horton Arrives

Sami got a call saying that the judge in the custody case was ready to rule, and Will and Sonny agreed to watch Baby Boy Horton until Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) arrived. Sami and Will had a tearful goodbye, with Sami apologizing for all her parenting mistakes and Will poking fun at his mom and all of her mishaps over the years.

Later, Will and Sonny watched the baby sleep and talked about their future, noting that they were going to give Ari Horton (Sydney Brower) a safe new life in Arizona. Will and Sonny gushed about how they were going to have a great life together, maybe even with another baby and a puppy added to the mix. Will and Sonny kissed happily.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – At Court

At court, Sami entered and squabbled for a few moments with Nicole, Eric, and Justin. Soon, the judge entered and was ready to rule in the case. Sami suddenly said that she had additional evidence. Justin squawked, but the judge let Sami have some leeway. Sami called Victor to the stand, as additional proof of Nicole’s murderous behavior. Justin objected, saying Victor didn’t know anything about Deimos Kiriakis’ (Vincent Irizarry) murder.

But Sami said that Victor was here to discuss another murder – his own. Victor elaborated that he once married “that black widow” Nicole, and that he was almost electrocuted by a radio dropped into his bathtub. Justin pointed out that the act was perpetrated by Jan Spears (Heather Lindell). Justin bellowed that Nicole was never charged, and Jan is in a coma. The judge took a recess to consider all this new information.

During the break, Nicole fumed at Sami, and Sami quipped that you never know what might come up when the judge returns. Eric noted that Jan was still in a coma, and Sami said that he was behind the times and that Jan woke up earlier this year. Sami went on to explain that Jan was in an inpatient treatment program in New York.

The judge returned and said that Sami presented compelling information earlier, but that there was no proof, so her original decision in favor of Eric and Nicole would stand. Just then, Sami stood up and said that she had more evidence. “I would like to call Jan Spears to the stand,” Sami said, as Jan walked into the courtroom.

DOOL Spoilers – Flashbacks

In the town square, Will and Sonny strolled along, talking about their goodbyes and noting that they have come so far and always found their way back to each other. After a series of flashbacks of their history, Will promised that his wedding ring was never coming off his finger again. “WilSon” walked up to Horton Square and Will said that it was a Horton tradition to come to say goodbye to Tom Horton (MacDonald Carey) and Alice Horton (Frances Reid).

Will and Sonny looked at the plaque of Tom and Alice fondly, and Will said goodbye to his great-grandfather Tom and great-grandmother Alice. Will and Sonny said goodbye to Salem…for now. Arm in arm, Will, and Sonny walked out of the square and off to their new life.

Back at the Kiriakis mansion, Xander and Philip were about to come to blows when Victor returned from court. Victor chastised Xander and Philip, then he said that he already decided on the issue of who would be CEO. Victor said that Philip did deserve a second chance at the job and that it was his. Xander got angry and protested, but Victor cut him off.

“You aren’t going anywhere, Xander,” Victor said. “You and Philip will be Co-CEOs. You’ll both be in charge.” Xander looked absolutely horrified, while Philip looked amused.
