TLC 90 Day Fiance Pillow Talk star Loren Brovarnik recently had bandages on her ears and fans couldn’t help but wonder what happened. It wasn’t due to an injury or a skin condition affecting her ear area. The bandages were in place because she had plastic surgery done on that part of her face. The TLC Reality TV personality explained the procedure, why she had it done, and the benefits.

Everyone has probably seen at least one person in their life whose pierced ears were stretched out. Instead of being a tiny circular shape, some people’s “lobe holes” are stretched out in a downward direction, resembling a droopy oblong or oval shape. This can happen if an earring gets “caught” or someone yanks on it way too hard. However, most cases are people who wore heavy earrings for too long, which can affect the skin’s elasticity from “bouncing back.”

The 90 Day Fiance star and Pillow Talk guest said during an Instagram Live that she slept with heavy earrings when she was young. This caused the earlobes to continually be stretched until she couldn’t wear big earrings or hoops.

There is a type of plastic surgery procedure that can repair stretched earlobes. It can also be used on those with torn earlobes. Basically, the doctor scrapes away the skin lining from the pierced area and then sews it up. It is a relatively simple procedure, only requires local anesthesia, and takes approximately 20 minutes. The recovery time is only two or three weeks. Afterward, patients can get their ears pierced again if they wish.

The 90 Day Fiance star is really excited about her earlobe repair surgery. Now that they are fixed and once she gets through the recovery period, she can once again wear hoop earrings. However, we are pretty sure that she learned her lesson as a child and will make sure not to wear heavy earrings to bed ever again!
