Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Phyllis Turns On Coverup Crew – Christine Faces Enemy

Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Phyllis Turns On Coverup Crew – Christine Faces EnemyPhyllis (Gina Tognoni) was never shy about saying she’d protect number one on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Now, she’s done exactly that in turning on her fellow coverup crew members.

Christine (Lauralee Bell) has long loathed Phyllis. Who wouldn’t after Michelle Stafford’s edition of this ever-provocative character deliberately ran her and Paul (Doug Davidson) down, then never faced any justice?

However, as Genoa City’s District Attorney, ‘Cricket’, or ‘The Bug’, as the iconic version of Phyllis often called her during the electric Danny (Michael Damian) era, must enforce the law, even if it means working with the dregs of GC society, as the modern version of ‘Red’ appears to be. While the complexity of that last sentence is glaring, it’s no greater than the tangled intensity of the J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) storyline that first stunned on April 13, 2018.

With Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) already in prison and Phyllis, Sharon (Sharon Case), and Vickie (Amelia Heinle) arrested, fans want to believe that the seemingly never-ending arc of this soapy covenant is moving into its last daytime act. Couple those hopes with the recent announcement that the beloved Davidson has returned to the set and yes, it seems probable that answers, not further questions, will finally be broadcast in the near future.

Patience is a strong suit of Y&R’s hardcore audience, as it is among all other solid fans of any other soap opera. Who, more than this devoted crew, commits more time to long-form stories? This real life plot point is undeniable.

So, GC followers are right to guess that Christine’s work with Phyllis will likely be followed by Paul’s seal of the case sometime in the latter part of March, which is when Davidson is projected to be seen again. He’ll take the hard evidence Christine, who’s hopefully still his wife, combine it with Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) efforts, and bring this storyline, uh case, to a conclusion that makes sense.

Phyllis could go legally down in the process, alienate Nick (Joshua Morrow), and receive her just due after all these years as the above plays out. She’s again alone on an island, just as Stafford’s Phyllis often was.

As always, more detailed spoilers and a full collection of pictures for the week in question will appear here on Soap Opera Spy, where there will be more clues and hints over exactly what’s going on.
