Young and the Restless Spoilers Thursday, January 17: Panicked Nikki Pulls a Gun – Phyllis’ Vengeful Move – Cane and Victoria Make Out

“Young and the Restless” spoilers for Thursday, January 17, tease that Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) will sidestep questions from the twins. At home, Mattie Ashby (Lexie Stevenson) and Charlie Ashby (Noah Alexander Gerry) are curious about the prison visit. They seem concerned about what happened, but Cane suggests certain things will remain private with Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil).

Across town, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) reflects on the past and reiterates his desire to get back on track with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). However, he’s willing to respect her wishes about not rushing this. While Billy and Victoria set a lunch date, Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) gripes to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). She gets confirmation that Nikki blabbed to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) about killing J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill).

Over with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), she chats with Fenmore “Fen” Baldwin (Zach Tinker) about his new song. Fen appreciates the fact that Sharon’s playing it at Crimson Lights. Talk turns to Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) tanked music career. Sharon hopes Fen’s dreams work out better. He realizes everything could be yanked away, so he needs to be careful about how he proceeds.

Later, Sharon gets updates from the rest of the cover-up crew. Victoria, Nikki and Phyllis are there to discuss Nick’s newfound knowledge. Sharon is shocked that Nikki would spill the truth to Nick, so the gang starts bickering as usual. Nikki insists she kept Sharon and Phyllis out of it in an attempt to protect them. They think their tormentor wants them to fight, but Phyllis warns she won’t go down for this.

Once they’ve hashed things out, Sharon suggests Nikki can stay at the cottage if she wants. It might be safer, but Nikki would prefer to catch the person behind the threat. She resolves to spend the night at the ranch and face this man or woman is necessary. At home, Nikki is startled by a noise and grabs her gun. She fires a shot after a shadow appears on the wall.

Back with Phyllis, she derails Billy and Victoria’s date with a shocker. Phyllis notes that Billy tried to get back together with her before Christmas. Victoria feels like a rebound and takes off. Cane follows to retrieve a scarf he left behind. He winds up chatting with Victoria and connecting over their pain. It isn’t long until Cane and Victoria are locking lips!

Meanwhile, Billy rips into Phyllis for her latest round of drama. He feels like it was a mistake to blow up Phyllis’ marriage to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) when his true love is Victoria. Billy thinks it was a mistake to ask Phyllis to reunite, too.

At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, he’s persistent about tracking down this mystery songwriter. Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) agrees that it’d be better to know what they’re dealing with. They don’t want to get burned in the end. Ana Hamilton (Loren Lott) insists her “friend” still wants to remain anonymous. She suggests he’d be on board with getting payment now and skipping future profits.

Fen is taken aback and wonders why Ana’s “friend” would ever agree to that. Ana notes that he would rather have the cash now. Of course, that won’t be the end of it. Devon eventually phones Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) in hopes of seeking his assistance on this. He’s determined to get the name of the person behind this hit song.
