Days of Our Lives Spoilers & Recap Tuesday, January 29: Melinda Threatens Marlena – Leo’s Mom Arrives

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Tuesday, January 29, 2019, reveals Haley (Thia Megia) comes home, and J.J. (Casey Moss) wants to talk about her confession.

DOOL Spoilers Haley Asks J.J. To Keep Quiet

Haley wants J.J. to let it go, but he refuses. J.J. tells Haley he can’t let it go, he wants to help. J.J. asks Haley where she grew up, she tells him about how her parents met and what her mother gave up for her. Haley tells J.J. that Melinda (Laura Kai Chen) moved to the states when she was a baby, she had a falling out with her parents. Haley tells J.J. she had a normal life until her dad died in a car accident. Haley’s mom later died of cancer but gave her some money and arrangements to get her to the states.

Haley says she called Melinda, but she didn’t welcome her with open arms. J.J. is sorry that Melinda didn’t support her. Haley says Melinda had a new husband and a budding career. Haley says Melinda eventually supported her but she Melinda decided to run for mayor that’s changed. J.J. realizes that is why Melinda kicked her out. Haley tells J.J. that she tried to kill herself because she didn’t see any way out. Haley says Marlena (Deidre Hall) can’t say anything because of confidentiality and asks if she can trust him with her secret.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers Will Has Good News

Days of Our Lives Will (Chandler Massey) calls Sonny (Freddie Smith) and tells her that John (Drake Hogestyn) has found Leo’s mom. Sonny thanks Will for letting him know and hopes to get rid of Leo (Greg Rikaart). Will is dying to know what John has found about Leo’s mother. John arrives and starts to tell Marlena and Will, but Melinda interrupts. John tells Will he didn’t speak to Leo’s mom, he didn’t see her at all. Marlena can’t imagine what she has to talk about with Melinda.

Melinda tells Marlena that she knows Haley told her about her immigration status and threatens to sue her if she lets that secret out. John tells Will that the guy he had following Leo’s mom realized someone was following her and he told her where Leo was. John believes that Leo’s mom made a beeline for Salem. Marlena tells Melinda she wants her to keep quiet because she is running for office. Melinda says she wants her to stay quiet because it’s her professional obligation and thanks her for helping Haley.

DOOL Spoilers Leo Gets A Shock

Days of Our Lives Leo opens the door to find his mother there; she tells him he could call her mom. Leo demands to know why his mother is in town. She tells him that a man was following her and told her that he was now living in Salem. Leo’s mom pours herself a drink, Leo tells her he has a good thing going, and he’s not letting her ruin that. Leo tries to usher his mom out when Sonny (Freddie Smith) walks in and asks who she is. Diana (Judith Chapman) introduces herself to Sonny.

Leo tries to force his mom to leave, and Sonny puts a stop to that. Sonny and Diana set to talk, and Leo interrupts them. Leo tells Sonny he tracked his mom down to try and get rid of him. Leo goes off, and his mom tells him she can speak for herself. Will text and Sonny walks out of the room to answer him. Leo’s mom slaps him when Sonny leaves the room.

Will tells Sonny that John found Diana and Sonny tells him she is sitting in his living room right now. Leo apologizes to his mother after she berates him. Diana makes it plain that she has information that Sonny would love to have and she could give it to him. Sonny comes back in and asks what he missed. Sonny offers to let Diana stay with them, but she wants to go to a hotel. Sonny sets her up at the Salem Inn and tells her to charge everything to him.

Days of Our Lives Rex Wants Eric And Sarah To Be Friends

Days of Our Lives’ Eric (Greg Vaughan) walks in on Rex (Kyle Lowder) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) kissing. Eric asks if they made up, Sarah says they decided that everybody makes mistakes and they decided to give each other a second chance. Rex wonders why Eric isn’t happy about it. Sarah tells Rex that Eric hates her because she slept with Xander.

Eric thinks back to his conversation with Marlena and tells her he doesn’t hate her, that’s not how he feels about her at all. Eric tells Sarah he was angry with her and was trying to protect her. Sarah excuses herself to leave to go to work. Rex tries to explain to Eric that he needs to give Sarah a break. Rex tells Eric that in her personal life if you hit Sarah, she hits you back. Rex says he drove Sarah to sleep with Xander, not him. Rex says he didn’t mean to make things more complicated for Eric.

Eric says he is his brother and that’s what’s important. Rex thanks Eric for everything he has done. Rex needs one more favor; he wants to know if Eric can be friends with Sarah again. Rex asks Eric to try and make up with Sarah. Rex tells Eric that he got mad because it would be very hard to get over it if Sarah had slept with him. Rex says that Sarah sleeping with Eric would have been the ultimate payback.

DOOL Maggie Thinks Sarah Is Wrong

Days of Our Lives Sarah arrives at work, and Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) stops her. Maggie tells Sarah that Liz called and told her about Rex and Noelle. Sarah asks if Liz called to defend her daughter. Maggie tells Sarah that Liz thought what Rex and Noelle did was appalling. Maggie asks about Sarah and Noelle working things out. Maggie tells Sarah that Rex is a womanizing creep and thank goodness she got him out of her life. Sarah tells Maggie that she and Rex are back together.

Maggie asks what Sarah means that she is back with Rex. Maggie rehashes everything that happened with Rex and Mimi. Maggie asks how Sarah can be ok after everything Rex has done. Sarah tells Maggie that Rex isn’t the only one who made mistakes. Maggie says it’s not like you slept with his brother, Sarah said she sure as hell tried. Sarah tells Maggie that she went to Eric and tried to get him to sleep with her and he refused. Maggie says that is a good thing because they are friends.

Sarah tells Maggie she blew that friendship. Sarah tells Maggie that Eric called the next morning and found her in bed with Xander when he came to check on her. Maggie questions why Sarah is moving on with Rex. Maggie says if Sarah is getting back with Rex because she thinks she doesn’t deserve better she couldn’t be further from the truth. Maggie tells Sarah she deserves a man who will love and cherish her and treat her with respect. Sarah believes that the man who will cherish her is Rex. Sarah tells Maggie that Rex does love her. Maggie wants Sarah to be sure that this is what she wants. Sarah gets a page and has to go. Maggie and Sarah hug, and she leaves.
