The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Victor Isn’t All Wrong – Nick Hardly A Saint

The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Victor Isn't All Wrong – Nick Hardly A SaintThe sight of Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) fighting again on ‘The Young and the Restless’ was disappointing. This father-son pairing just arrived at a legitimate detente. But this time Victor isn’t all wrong and Nick surely remains less than a saint.

Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) is a little boy. He won’t be able to even consider running Newman Enterprises for twenty-plus years. Victor could easily be working in the eternal hot house long before then. In that scenario, Jack would be his permanent partner. Ha!

However, this is Genoa City. So, when considering SORAS (soap opera rapid aging syndrome), Christian might be ready to run Newman by the mid-2020’s. That’s a legitimate estimate, which assumes Y&R’s renewal extends until then. Currently, the show is renewed through 2020.

Here’s the point, Victor’s ability to influence Christian won’t be a real threat for many years, if ever. Nick reacted as he often does, like a hot-head, which provoked Victor unnecessarily.

Victor’s point about wanting to see his grandson is completely legitimate. He doesn’t manipulate the younger ones if anti-‘Moustache’ fans are being honest. With Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) gone, Johnny (Holden and Ryan Hare) and Christian to represent Victor’s remaining grandsons.

Why can’t he see your son Nick? And by the way, have you forgotten how your little boy got his name? Yes, it’s your father’s original moniker.

Adam (Justin Hartley) did ask Nick to watch out for Connor. But Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) took him away. Morrow’s character is partially using Victor as an easy target to vent his frustrations regarding Chelsea.

Nick created a problem where none existed. Victor accurately assessed that Abby isn’t ready to assume control and that Vickie (Amelia Heinle) isn’t ready to lead now.

That left Nick, who was initially on-board with returning. He told his sister the reasons why their dad didn’t currently trust her. Then he later battled with his father.

Victor isn’t perfect, but he was protecting Nick by retaining the Christian paternity secret. He has offered Nick an olive branch and expressing confidence in his abilities by gift-wrapping the COO position at Newman. But Nick overreacted and has potentially ignited another extended battle with his father. He is more wrong than Victor this time.
