The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Sharon Believes J.T. is Alive – Edgar Allan Poe Evoked

The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Sharon Believes J.T. is Alive – Edgar Allan Poe EvokedSharon (Sharon Case) feels guilty on ‘The Young and the Restless’. That’s why she believes that J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) is alive and wants to rise from his grave in Chancellor Park.

Y&R will evoke horror master Edgar Allan Poe’s classic short story, ‘The Tell-Tale Heart’ this week. That 1843 printed horror proposed a narrator telling readers how he did away with an old gentlemen in his bedroom and buried him under the floor boards, only to later believe that he could hear the geezer’s heart pumping and pumping and pumping and pumping endlessly. The repetition within the last sentence was purposeful, as the ever-increasing tension within that tale succeeded in its intent to grip generations of reader’s minds.

Today, in Genoa City, Sharon’s soul is conflicted by what took place in Vickie’s (Amelia Heinle) bedroom. That’s the spot where J.T. died of unnatural causes. His life ended via the swatted poker of now three-time killer Nicole Reed Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), the least likely persona to influence the aforementioned trio of ladies, nevertheless has done so.

Phyllis’ morphed into crime coverup mode within moments of the described event. Nikki then suggested an open patch of land at the Park that honors her friend Katherine (Jeanne Cooper). Said body was rolled into a rug, transported to town, and dropped. Vickie topped J.T.’s shallow grave with dirt and that was that until now.

Y&R needs to carefully plot this portion of the storyline, as Sharon’s mental health issues were beaten to death for about a decade. She’s been written to stable status within the last year. So, here’s hoping that her natural feelings won’t be written backwards.
