The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Nick Becomes Victor – Dark Horse Rode by Avenger

The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Nick Becomes Victor – Dark Horse Rode by AvengerNick (Joshua Morrow) rarely dresses in the traditional attire of a businessman on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But he walked into the emergent offices of Dark Horse resplendent in garb that resembled what Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) would wear, though with more flair.

Victor is almost always costumed as a villain, meaning that he doesn’t often allow colors to distract from his vibe. Instead he projects a shade, black, through the garments that cover his body. The dark leather jacket worn when he met Nick in that dark alley the other day was classic ‘Black Knight’ style.

Nick sees himself as an avenger, not a bad guy like his father has willingly been for so many years. However, there was a split among the audience he invited to the first meeting at Dark Horse the other day. It was an all female contingent that Nick requested join him as he seeks to build a business that will reflect the original intention of Newman Enterprises.

A right cross that hit Nick’s jaw more than a year ago proved to be the exact point where Morrow’s character turned against Victor. That statement was dropped on the gathered crowd at the long rectangular table inside Nick’s new corporate meeting space.

Seasoned observers took note of the various retrospectives that were presented this week. The nicely layered pieces showed Morrow at different stages in his Y&R career, which naturally made fans wonder if his exit from the cast was being telegraphed? ‘Shick’s’ long-awaited reunion, which was more than a decade in the making, might also actually be an ominous sign.

Morrow became the SORAS’d version of Nicholas in 1994. His near quarter-century run on Y&R as this legacy character makes him irreplaceable, if his potential exit will be announced and there is no subsequent recast.

However, if Nick remains in Genoa City indefinitely, then all that’s developing and the provided retrospective simply reflect a shift for this character. No longer the easy-going guy, or the son who’s been eternally frustrated by his father. Nick 2018 is an avenger, which would (will) be quite the epic storyline.
