The Young and the Restless (YR) Poll: Is Adam Newman Trying To Bring Victor Down?

The Young and the Restless (YR) Poll: Is Adam Newman Trying To Bring Victor Down? There are, of course, various possibilities regarding who is trying to bring down the ‘Ruthless’, ‘Black Knight’, ‘Moustache’ on ‘The Young and the Restless’. As we start, let’s assert that the person in question isn’t Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).

Eric Braeden (Victor) is offered the highest accolades for creating and sustaining a fifty-seven year career in the entertainment industry, thirty-eight of which include playing this iconic character on Y&R. Braeden debuted as Victor in 1980.

The Young and the Restless spoilers show Newman Enterprises is currently being targeted by a masked-voice, apparently blackmail-intending assailant. Considering the mystery of the person’s identity, it’s worthwhile to consider a suspect who is assumed dead. Adam (most recently played by Justin Hartley and often rumored to be played by Michael Muhney again) towers at the top of the suspect list.

Adam entrusted his second-born son, Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) to his brother’s care, though Nick (Joshua Morrow) didn’t know that paternity truth nearly two years ago. During their last meeting, late in the summer of 2016, Adam bonded with Nick in the prison visitor’s room and asked him to watch over Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois).

The character who was played by Hartley at that time believed he was facing a decades-long sentence. A short time later, after having been helped by Victor to escape, while waiting for Nick to bring Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor to a hideout cabin in the woods, Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) arrived, shot Adam with a tranquilizer gun, handcuffed him to the bed, and appeared to blow up the cabin.

Adam’s death was never truly confirmed, as Paul’s (Doug Davidson) CSI crew was only able to retrieve gooey DNA remnants which were strewn across the wooded landscape. Y&R fans must assume that Adam wasn’t killed and will have the time gap between September 2016 and plausibly explained away.

Assuming Victor’s connection to Chloe didn’t fuel Adam’s rage to-date, whoever is to play this character again would have become aware that his father just gained temporary custody of Christian. That factor would be driving Adam to bring Victor down.

But how would Adam have obtained J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbill) digital information and why would he be sending masked voice mail messages, along with boxes of sensitive Newman documents to Victoria (Amelia Heinle)? Well, the answers to that double question will be written if said projection proves true.

Fans of ‘The Young and the Restless’ rightfully express their opinions on a regular basis. So, is Adam trying to bring Victor down? Please vote in our poll below!
