The Young and the Restless Spoilers Monday, September 17: Billy Falls in Kyle's Trap – Nick Plans to Cover His Tracks – Summer's Rejected“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Monday, September 17, tease that Kyle (Michael Mealor) will set a trap. At Jabot, Billy (Jason Thompson) gets an email that was arranged by the younger Abbott. Kyle makes sure Billy’s invited to join an elite group of gamblers, so Billy battles serious temptation.

Meanwhile, Summer (Hunter King) visits Nick (Joshua Morrow) at Dark Horse. She’s upset about neglecting someone she cared about, so Nick thinks she should apologize. Summer eventually does just that. She tells Kyle she’s sorry for causing pain and hopes they can still be friends. Kyle remains icy and contends that it’s best to just let this go.

Back with Nick, he explains the J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) impersonation plot to Jack (Peter Bergman). They discuss how Nick needs to cover his tracks in case the Feds come after him. Jack thinks it was a very Victor (Eric Braeden)-ish scheme, which leads to a discussion about fathers.

Nick notes that Albert Miller (George Kennedy) was always toxic. He wishes Victor would break the cycle, but he doesn’t have high hopes. At the police station, Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) faces Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) wrath over all the negative Dark Horse press. She demands a statement to clear Nick’s name, so he eventually gets on board.

Later, Abby exchanges introductions with Lola (Sasha Calle) at Crimson Lights. Arturo (Jason Canela) learns Rey’s coming and wants no part of it. Unfortunately, Rey arrives before Arturo can take off. They spar briefly, but Lola pushes for a peaceful conversation. Arturo declines to stay, so he heads for the exit with Abby.

Once they’re alone, Rey wonders if Lola really wants to see him. She does, so they lean in for a hug. At the athletic club, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) meets with a guy who turns out to be a chemist named Andrew. Neil (Kristoff St. John) sees them and gets the wrong idea, but Ashley quickly clarifies. She ends up at Neil’s place afterward for sex.

Ashley’s stressed, so Neil suggests going away for the weekend. Sadly, Ash decides to skip it. She doesn’t want to leave the matters she’s dealing with. After Billy nixes the Type A Consulting payments, Ashley also decides she’ll have to start paying Andrew out of pocket.

Next, Billy stops by Newman Enterprises. He’s there to bring something for one of the kids, but Victoria would rather address his gambling problem. Billy argues that he’s been honesty about it, but Victoria doesn’t think that’s the point. She contends that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) has to be scared right now.

Billy leaves the office in a huff and heads back to his own. He ultimately sends back a reply to that elite gambling group. Billy lets them know that he’s in, so he may have just sealed his own fate. Abby also finds Jack to get the latest news on his search for answers. Jack suggests he may let the whole father issue go. He insists Abby shouldn’t say anything to Victor about all this.
