The Young and the Restless RECAP Tuesday, August 14: Kyle Says He Is Helping Ashley To Get What He Wants

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Tuesday, August 14, 2018 reveals that over at the Dive Bar, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) chat about girls’ night.

Nikki goes for drinks and Nate Hastings (Brooks Darnell) comes over and speaks to Victoria. He asks her to show him around sometime. Victoria says she does not have time. Nikki comes back over and let’s Victoria know that Nate is their new doctor. Nate is determined to find out what is causing Nikki’s stress. Nate leaves.

Victoria worries he will figure out what they did and Nikki assures her she can handle him. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) joins them. Victoria fills him in on how Reed Hellstrom (Tristan Lake Leabu) is doing and then leaves. Victor then surprises Nikki with a couples massage. After, he reveals they will have dinner. At Hamilton-Winters Group, Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) tells Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) that his plan is a disaster waiting to happen.

Lily tells him the best option is for her to face what is coming to her. Cane argues. Cane brings up his father and Lily snaps about him taking advice from a criminal. Lily is furious and takes off. In the dining room, Victoria runs into Lily and gives her an ear full about having to spend the day at her ex-sister-in-law’s and having to pick out a dress. She gets called to work. Nikki and Victor chat about protecting their loved ones over dinner.

At Crimson Lights, Summer Newman (Hunter King) calls out Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) for conspiring against Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson). He points out what he is doing is not near as bad as what she is doing. Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) walks in and turns around to leave but Kyle calls her over. Summer and Mariah bicker.

After Mariah leaves Kyle asks Summer to go easy on her. Talk turns back to Jabot. Kyle reveals he is only helping Ashley because it will get him what he wants. Then they start talking about Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Summer brings up the night that Nick didn’t go home. Summer then figures out it was the night he opened Dark Horse.

Kyle says he went to see Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) the next morning. Summer then figures out it was her dad that her mom hooked up with. Out on the patio, Charlie Ashby (Noah Alexander) and Mattie Ashby (Lexie Stevenson) chat about their mom’s situation. Charlie wants to make Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) see that he is wrong. Mattie does not really agree but will stick by him.

Nate Hastings arrives and sees Charlie and Mattie Ashby ringing Devon Hamilton’s doorbell. He invites them to come into their grandfather’s place so they can discuss their plan with him. Nate hopes Devon listens to them. Nate tells them to never give up fighting for justice for their mom.

Back over at Crimson Lights, Nate Hastings runs into Victoria Newman again. He questions her about her mother’s stress. He can tell something is bothering Victoria as well and suggests that she does not hold it in. Victoria then tells him he may not be as smart as he thinks he is and snaps at him for sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong.

Cane Ashby finds an upset Lily Ashby at the Dive Bar. She just wants space. He apologizes. Mattie Ashby and Charlie Ashby appear. Charlie assures them they can count on them.
