The Young and the Restless RECAP Monday, October 1: Ashley Makes Her Move, Phyllis And Jack To The Rescue

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Monday, October 1, 2018 reveals that over at Jabot, Gloria Bardwell (Judith Chapman) keeps Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) from entering Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) office.

Phyllis Helps Billy Clean Up His Mess

Inside the office Billy and Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) are discussing Billy’s gambling problem and how to fix the trouble that he is in. After, Billy goes and joins Lauren for their meeting. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) arrives and Phyllis reveals to him that Billy is in trouble and he needs $250,000 to have all the money.

At the Abbott mansion, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) sees Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) off. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) comes up and confronts Ashley for not telling that Billy Abbott was stealing from the company. Ashley tells him that she plans to get Traci to vote Billy out. After, Kyle calls Gloria Bardwell trying to get information, but she hangs up on him.

Jack To The Rescue

At Jabot, Gloria Bardwell warns Billy Abbott that he may not want to go into his office. Inside, Jack debates on whether he should help Billy and give him the money. Phyllis tells Jack that John Abbott would’ve helped Billy. Jack agrees to help. Billy walks in as Jack and Phyllis are hugging. She explains what he walked in on.

Billy knows he is lucky to have both of them and takes Jack’s help. Jack wants one thing in return and that is for Billy to go to rehab in which Billy agrees.

Victor Agrees To Attend Nick’s Wedding

Over at Crimson Lights, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) meet up and chat about Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) wedding. Nikki tries to talk Victor into going but he refuses. Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) joins them and weighs in on the situation. Eventually he agrees to go.

At Walworth, Traci Abbott arrives to see Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil). Lily tells Traci about Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) visit. Traci then talks about Billy Abbott and how his intervention failed.

Lily Gets A Visitor

Traci wants Lily to let go of the guilt. Later, the twins come for a visit. They fill Lily in on Shauna Nelson’s (Camryn Hamm) birthday party. Charlie Ashby (Noah Alexander) admits to skipping school. Then tells her about the agreement he made with Devon. They agree to be there for each other and be honest.

At the Athletic Club, Ashley Abbott makes another plea to Traci Abbott to step in at Jabot. Traci says she will not humiliate Billy Abbott by doing so.

Ashley Makes A Shocking Move

Back at Jabot, Billy Abbott panics when he is unable to access accounts at Jabot. Ashley Abbott has called a board meeting about him. In the boardroom, Jack returns. Lauren Fenmore Baldwin reveals she has been filled in on Billy’s gambling. Abby Newman wants to see what her mom has to say. Traci Abbott arrives with Ashley. Kyle Abbott tells Ashley she is late for her own meeting. Billy begins the meeting. Ashley says its problematic to have a CEO who has a gambling addiction.

Phyllis Summers let’s them know Billy is going to get help. Kyle points out rehab is not a quick fix. Lauren asks who will replace Billy while he’s gone. Ashley speaks up and tells everyone about Billy stealing from the company.

Jack and Traci are in shock and can’t believe it. Kyle has the papers to prove it. Jack urges Billy to tell him this is a lie, but Billy can’t. Ashley calls for a vote of no-confidence in Billy. And that’s a wrap. Don’t forget to check often with Soap Opera Spy for all your soap needs!
