The Young and the Restless RECAP Friday, May 4: Neil Advises Devon To Get Back With Hilary

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Friday, May 4, 2018 reveals that over at GC Buzz, Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) reminds Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) that she will be running the show while she is away at her OB/GYN appointment.

Neil Advises Devon To Get Back With Hilary

At the Athletic Club, Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) talk about the baby that’s on the way. Devon let’s Neil know that Hilary Curtis is staying out of his personal business as agreed in their arrangement. Neil doubts either of them will stick to that once the baby arrives. Neil let’s Devon know that he can not love that child and disrespect it’s mother. He advises him to get back together with Hilary and to step up and do the right thing.

Sharon Warns Nick JT Is Dangerous

Over at Sharon McAvoy’s (Sharon Case) place, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) walks in on Sharon doing yoga in the living room. Talk turns to J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) vanishing. Nick wants to find out what the police are missing and says he going to canvas the neighborhood. Sharon learns he has downloaded the police scanner app and thinks he is going overboard. She wonders why Nick can’t let it go, and he wonders why she thinks he should. Sharon says she is scared for him since J.T. is dangerous.

Kyle Gives Victor Explosive Information

Over at the ranch, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) arrives catching Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) by surprise. Kyle says he is not valued at Jabot and would like to come to work for Newman. Victor questions if he is ruthless enough to work with him. Kyle feels he can be more of an asset to Victor than his own kids. Nick arrives and wants Victor’s help finding J.T. Victor asks him what he needs. After, Kyle comes back in and he and Victor continue their conversation. Victor brings it up that Kyle is not family and Victor questions why he should trust him. Victor reminds him that he spied on him before, and wants Kyle to prove himself. Kyle then tells him that he has information that would take Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) out of the CEO chair at Jabot and give Victor power to change Jack’s life forever. Kyle says he will expect an upper echelon position at Newman for the information. Victor finds that funny and tells him if it is what he says it is then they have a deal. Kyle pulls out Jabot’s corporate by-laws and a video. Victor says the information is explosive, and from now on he controls the fate of Kyle and his father.

Nick Makes An On Air Appeal

Nick Newman goes to GC Buzz to try to talk Hilary Curtis and Mariah Copeland into putting him on the show. He mentions making things right with his father so Hilary says she will work with him. On air, Nick talks about what happened to his father and then about J.T.’s disappearance hoping someone knows something. Later, Mariah tells Nick that she thinks she overheard a man’s voice when she woke up from sleeping it off in the den at Victoria’s.

Nick Demands To Know What Sharon Knows About JT’s Disappearance

Sharon McAvoy is shocked with horror as she tunes in at home to the live show while watching Nick Newman ask for information about J.T.’s whereabouts and offering a $50,000 reward. When Nick makes it home she is mad and wants to know if Nick even ran it by the police. She insists that he is giving people a reason to make up lies. Nick says it has already jogged one person’s memory, Mariah. Sharon learns that Mariah heard a man but argues she is wrong. Nick then gets suspicious and demands to know what else happened that night and asks if she knew all along where J.T. is.

Devon Shows Up At Hilary’s Doctor Appt

After the show is over, Hilary Curtis rushes off. Devon Hamilton arrives and Mariah Copeland informs him that Hilary is gone to an appointment about the baby. So Devon goes to the hospital and shows up before Hilary’s appointment. He’s concerned about her and wants her to know she isn’t alone in the pregnancy. Hilary is nervous and asks Devon to leave and he is taken back by it. Devon wants them to be on the same page. Hilary comes up with she don’t want to force him to have a child if he doesn’t want too. Devon assures her she didn’t force him and they hug. Devon says he is staying for the appointment.
