The Young and the Restless Recap Friday, April 27: Phyllis Threatens To Put Sharon ‘In The Looney Bin’

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Friday, April 27th reveals that Reed Hellstrom (Tristan Lake Leabu) is at home and is very annoyed that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) set up a going away party for him but gives her a hug. He tells her no tears though. She is hoping for the whole family to show up but Reed reminds her one person will not be.

Kyle Offers To Take Dina To The Club

Over at the Abbott’s place, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) offers to take his grandmother Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) to the club to grab a bite. Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) appears and she is not sure that is a good idea but Kyle says he can handle it.

Devon Is Furious At Hilary

At the club, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) is furious and accuses Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) of trying to break him and Simone (Shanica Knowles) up by announcing her pregnancy on air. He tells her she better hope that Simone does not call off their relationship. After, Devon meets with Simone to see if their good and tells her nothing changed between them. Then at the club, Kyle pretends to be Dina’s former paramour and presses her to call him by his name. Dina becomes distraught when she can not remember.

Victor and Arturo Face Off

At the Newman Ranch, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) let’s Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) know that his doctor advised him against him going to Reed Hellstrom’s going away party, so Nikki kisses him and leaves. Victor then takes the opportunity to phone Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) not long after he arrives. Victor tells Arturo he has been looking over the budget and wants Arturo to take a look at the numbers but he don’t feel he needs to. Victor tells him he doesn’t want Nikki to be taken advantage of. Arturo thinks Nikki is in complete control of her life and Victor says they are through for now.

Sharon Is Jumpy

Over at Sharon McAvoy’s (Sharon Case), Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) breaks a plate and it scares Sharon and she screams. Mariah and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) both think she has been acting strange. Nick reminds Sharon of the terrible nightmare she had and asks her is she sure there is nothing on her mind. Nick is heading to Reed’s party and invites Sharon she is hesitant but Mariah talks her into going.

The Newman’s Arrive At Reed’s Party

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Phyllis Newman (Gina Tognoni) arrive at Victoria’s for the party. Phyllis and Victoria chat in the kitchen about Reed leaving may make it easier on her to move on. Nikki Newman arrives and joins them and then goes to Reed and says she will miss him. Reed talks about missing his dad and let’s her know he had a good talk with Victor Newman. Nick arrives with Sharon and the other women looked worried.

Nick Worries About Sharon

Phyllis reminds Sharon they can not act like BFFs. Nick and Billy talk about how the women seem to be getting along now. Abby arrives and hears Sharon calling out Phyllis for trying to seduce Kyle Abbott. Abby apologizes for missing their party. Reed gets a surprise vistor, it’s Mattie Ashby (Lexie Stevenson). They have a chat and Reed apologizes to her for his drinking and driving and tells her she is a good friend. Reed vows to turn his life around and return one day and they hug. Nick assures Victoria that Reed will be okay and wants to know if she knows what is going on with Sharon. Victoria says she is always dramatic. Sharon has a flashback of J.T. hitting Victoria and takes off. After the party is over, Victoria breaks out in tears and Reed tells her not to worry that J.T. wasn’t there and they hug.

Hilary Had A Chemical Pregnancy

Hilary Curtis goes to visit her OB/GYN and gets some shocking news. The doctor tells Hilary that she is not pregnant and had a chemical pregnancy. The chemical pregnancy did not implant in the uterus and caused a fake positive. Hilary is upset and realizes that Devon Hamilton is going to think she made the whole thing up. Then, Hilary goes to the club and wants to talk to Devon but he will not leave Simone out of their conversation. Hilary informs him she went and see her OB/GYN and walks away upset.

Over at GC Buzz, Hilary Curtis is shocked to find Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) surrounded by baby gifts from her fans. Mariah wants Hilary to go on air and thank her fans so she does and as Mariah keeps going on about the overwhelming responses she has received Hilary tears up and Devon appears.

Kyle Abbott and Dina Mergeron get back from their outing and Abby Newman asks how did it go. Dina giggles at Kyle before going to lay down. Abby wants Kyle to keep making her happy.

Victor Wants Arturo Fired

Over at the Ranch, Nikki Newman learns that Victor Newman had a meeting with Arturo and doesn’t trust him. Nikki says she’ll be the judge of that and refuses to fire him. Victor gives her a warning that if she keeps him around there will be trouble.

Phyllis Threatens To Put Sharon In The Looney Bin

Over at the club, Phyllis Summers spots Sharon McAvoy at the bar. She tells her she sees them all in prison if she does not keep her mouth shut and threatens to have her put back in the loony bin and says she will lace her up in a strait jacket herself.
