The Young And The Restless Icon Donnelly Rhodes Dead At 80 Years Old

The Young and the Restless alum Donnelly Rhodes has sadly passed away, according to a new press release.  The Canadian native took his final breath on Monday January 8 2018 in British Columbia after a heroic battle with cancer.

The Young and the Restless fans will recall that Donnelly Rhodes played the part of Phillip Chancellor II, the late Katherine Chancellor’s husband.  Katherine and Phillip’s relationship was tumultuous, and she actually tried to kill him.  Later, Jill Abbott gave birth to his son Phillip III.

Rhodes appeared on the CBS soap opera from 1974-1975.  In later years the talented actor appeared on shows like Smallville, Battlestar Galactica, and Legends of Tomorrow.

Our condolences to Donnelly Rhodes’ friends and family, he was truly a very talented man and an important part of The Young and the Restless’ history.
