The Young and Restless Spoilers: Chelsea To Return, How About Adam Newman?

“The Young and the Restless” head writer and executive producer Mal Young dishes that Chelsea Lawson will be coming back to Genoa City. Will she return with Adam Newman? Meanwhile, Lola, will soon join her brothers Arturo and Rey, but more members of the Rosales family might be following behind.

Turning to her old dirty ways after enjoying some years of living quite a “normal” life, Chelsea left Genoa City with a bag of money. She planned to leave with Christian, but decided, in the end, to return her son to Nick Newman. And we know this is not the end of the story for Chelsea. Young now confirms that the character’s return is on the horizon.

In an interview with TV Insider, Young shared that he and Melissa Claire Egan (ex-Chelsea) talked about her exit from Y&R, and how it is just “goodbye for now” for her character.

“Chelsea has Adam’s kid. She’s got a big chunk of Y&R history out there. That character will walk back in one day. There’s no doubt about it,” he added.

On Adam Newman’s return

Meanwhile, everyone has been anticipating Adam Newman’s return since Justin Hartley left the show despite the character being killed off. Because it’s soap, he could just resurface from the dead, like he did once. TV Insider also suggested that with Nick turning more like Adam, it somehow sets the stage for the character’s return, and we’ll see the brothers go head to head.

Unfortunately, Young revealed that there’s no plan in sight yet about Adam’s return. “I don’t know if or when [Adam will be back],” he said.

But all hope is not lost, as Young added, “Everyone talks about him a lot. He seems to be a big part of the show. He’s officially dead, but…maybe not?”

The new family in Genoa

Elsewhere, “The Young and the Restless” has been introducing the members of the Rosales family one by one. We first know Arturo (Jason Canela), and now Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) has already arrived, followed by Lola (Sasha Calle).

Young teases that more members of the clan will be coming to town, including Rey’s wife, who is going to be a “big new character.” Then they will also tackle the story about where their parents are. “We’ve got rich stories for every one of them,” Young revealed.
