In an interview with SOD, Thompson admitted he’s a “big fan” of both Michael Mealor and Amelia Heinle. It’s clear that Thompson admires the work Heinle and Mealor are putting into the material they’ve been given.
Thompson also sees a lot of potential when it comes to Billy’s reaction to Kyle and Victoria’s involvement. That said, Thompson also feels Billy has a ton going on right now.
Thompson called it “an embarrassment of riches” since there’s so much good stuff for him to play. That’s why it might be best for Billy to have one epic moment to react to Kyle’s secret with Victoria before he lets it go.
Jason Thompson Pitches Billy’s Revenge
Thompson admitted that when Billy inevitably makes this discovery, it’s “going to blow his mind.” However, Thompson doesn’t want to turn this into a whole big thing where Billy rants about his nephew getting involved with his ex-wife.
In fact, Jason Thompson made a very different pitch to Y&R executive producer Sally McDonald about the move he wants Billy to make in the aftermath of this exposure.
“I said to Sally, kind of jokingly, ‘I kind of want to go against the grain. I’d like to just punch Kyle once and then never say anything again,'” Thompson said.
The Y&R star added that he just wants to “knock him once” and be done with it when it comes to his response to Kyle. Billy has moved on from Victoria romantically, so Thompson feels like that’d be enough of a reaction.

I have to admit, I would love to see Billy’s face when he finally finds out about Victoria and Kyle! Can you imagine discovering that your ex-wife is secretly involved with your nephew? That’s going to be quite a shock!
And Jason Thompson’s idea of Billy punching Kyle once and then walking away is pretty funny. Billy has moved on with Sally, so I don’t think he needs to spend weeks obsessing over Victoria’s love life. But I wouldn’t blame him for having a few choice words for Kyle!
