General Hospital Spoilers Friday, August 17: Margaux’s Sneaky Power Play – Maxie Respects Nathan’s Wishes – Peter Pressures Valentin

“General Hospital” spoilers for Friday, August 17, tease that Julian (William DeVry) will face another expansion setback. A construction worker will pass along some bad news, so Julian’s project should be on hold for a while. He’ll undoubtedly suspect Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Jason (Steve Burton) are behind the delays.

Julian’s determined to make this happen, so he definitely won’t give up. He’ll just have to try a little harder and hopefully uncover Sonny’s dark secret. In the meantime, Sonny (Maurice Benard) will have a reason to celebrate. He’ll be on hand for a surprise party with Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman), Mike (Max Gail) and Sam (Kelly Monaco).

Carly (Laura Wright) recently returned from Ferncliff, but she hasn’t had an official welcome home. Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) just came back to town as well. One of them might be the guest of honor or it could be another unexpected character. Whatever the case, this get-together should bring some warm moments.

Other “General Hospital” spoilers say Margaux (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will seek out Drew (Billy Miller) again. It’s clear that she’s got an agenda, so she’ll make a strategic move on Friday. Margaux will point out that she believes in asking for help. She’ll insist that’s where Drew comes in, so he’ll wonder what this is all about.

Margaux’s main goal right now is taking down Sonny, which means just about everything she does pertains to that. Although Drew is no longer Sonny’s right-hand man, he should still be hesitant about working against him. If Margaux wants Drew to fulfill her request, she’ll have to handle this carefully.

Maybe Margaux can find a way to trick Drew into doing what she needs. If not, that flash drive could come in handy eventually. Margaux has the key to Drew’s memory recovery, so he could have it back for a price. GH fans will be eager to see where this storyline heads next.

Elsewhere, Maxie (Kirsten Storms) will assure Nina (Michelle Stafford) that she’s sticking to her plan. She’ll do something she doesn’t really want to do for Nathan’s (Ryan Paevey) sake. Maxie will feel like it’s what her deceased hubby would’ve wanted.

Does this involve visiting Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills) in prison? “General Hospital” spoilers say Madeline will appear on screen soon, so Maxie may be one of her scene partners. Over with Peter (Wes Ramsey) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), a showdown will get underway. Peter will point out that Valentin owes him, so he’ll be there to collect.

Since Peter is currently penniless, Valentin may have to cough up some cash. Will these two become bitter enemies or inch toward being true allies again?
