Apparently, Jason is still having a hard time adjusting to his new life and the fact that Drew had hijacked it for so many years. Yes, both Jason and Drew are victims of Cesar Faison, (Anders Hove) but he’s gone. Both men are having a hard time trusting one another and assuming the roles that they are supposed to be in.

Things go from bad to worse when they have a conflict over Jason’s biological son Danny. Drew has parented both Danny and his brother Jake while Jason was gone. Even though Jason is doing what he can as the boys’ biological father, they are still very attached to their stepdad Drew. Both Jason and Drew show up to one of Danny’s school event for what can only be described as a very awkward situation. Danny wants his “real” father to be there, which is Jason. This only makes the situation between Jason and Drew even worse, as they are now pitted against one another.

Sam assumed that Jason was rude at the school event and tells him that he over stepped his boundaries by not checking in with her first before going to the school event. For Jason, this hurts. This is more than about the school event. Jason wants to claim what is rightfully his, in more ways than just one.
