General Hospital Recap November 12: Sonny’s ‘What If’ Episode

General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, November 12, 2018 reveals Brooklyn, New York a young Sonny (Joshua Benard) has Marino on his knees. Marino questions why he’s doing this.

Young Sonny Makes A ChoiceSonny (Maurice Benard) tells him it’s Scully’s (Robert Miano) orders. Sonny fires the gun and wakes up. Sonny falls back to sleep, Sonny checks on Margaux before looking out the window and seeing his young self. Sonny sees Mike join him and talk him out of shooting Marino.

Mike takes the gun and hugs him. Sonny goes back in time and sees himself holding the gun on Marino. Mike (Max Gail) tries to stop him, and Sonny tells Mike it was never his choice. Sonny tells his younger self there is a price to pay either way. He knows and pulls the trigger when Sonny looks out the window this time; he only sees his reflection in the glass.

Sonny And Olivia Argue

General Hospital’s Sonny wakes up and is the sergeant on the police force. Sonny sees pictures of himself and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) and their kids. Olivia comes in and asks why Sonny is up. Sonny has promised Olivia they would drive up to Port Charles to see their son. Olivia has cooked for Sonny and asked how his food is. Sonny assures Olivia it is fine. Olivia tells Sonny that Dante has made a good life for himself. Olivia tells Sonny she expects him to make an effort with their son. Olivia loves their kids and tells herself he does too.

Sonny Clashes With Julian

General Hospital’s Sonny and Olivia show up a Pozzulo’s to meet Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam (Kelly Monaco). Sonny wants to leave, but Olivia stops him. Olivia knocks on the office door and finds Sam and Dante. Dante asks Sonny how work is; he says it has good days and bad days. Olivia has brought food but doesn’t want to overstep. Dante tells Olivia Sam doesn’t cook and she admits they would be over every night if they lived closer. Olivia suggests they move back to Brooklyn, Dante refuses.

Julian (William DeVry) and Ava (Maura West) come in, and Dante introduces them. Julian offers them food on the house. Dante asks why Sonny can’t be civil. Dante berates Sonny’s choice for work. Sonny tells Dante his money is clean and leaves. Dante leaves Olivia to talk to Sam and apologizes to Julian and Ava. Olivia tells Sam that Sonny started this.

Sonny Asks Anna For Help

General Hospital’s Sonny goes to the police station and asks to speak to the police commissioner. Anna (Finola Hughes) is the commissioner, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) wants to know what Sonny wants. Sonny meets with Anna and tells her about Ava and Julian’s business. Anna tells Sonny those are only allegations. Anna doesn’t see what business this is of Sonny’s. Sonny tells Anna about the drugs coming through Brooklyn. Sonny doesn’t know what broke Anna, but she must have been a good cop once. Sonny asks Alexis what is going on with the commissioner. Alexis tells Sonny that Anna’s daughter Robin (Kimberly McCullough) died from AIDS at 19.

Jason Works For Julian

General Hospital’s Dante has plans after the shipment has landed. Julian tells Dante the shipment has been taken care of as they speak. Jason (Steve Burton) comes into Julian’s office; Ava asks if there were any problems and he replies no. Ava kisses Jason. Sonny goes back to the restaurant and demands Julian turn Dante loose. Ava threatens to have Jason kill Sonny. Carly (Laura Wright) comes in threatening to make Julian, and Ava pays for making Michael (Chad Duell) leave the country.

Julian asks how it’s their fault that Michael left the country. Carly tells them A.J. is going to get them all arrested. Carly swings at Julian and Sonny walks her out. Sonny and Carly go for coffee. Carly tells Sonny she’s A.J.’s (ex-Sean Kanan) wife. Carly asks why Sonny rescued her. Sonny wishes he hadn’t saved Carly because he wanted her to slap Julian. Carly tells Sonny that Ava and Julian bought A.J. off. Carly tells Sonny what a screw-up A.J. is. Carly tells Sonny that everything she did to protect Michael ended up driving him away. Sonny goes back and finds Carly, and they talk.

Dante Flips On The Jeromes

General Hospital’s Dante gives Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry) a flash drive on the Jeromes. Dante wants to remain secret, but it’s doing this because of his father, they both hat the Jeromes. Jordan comes in with Ava and Julian under arrest. Julian threatens Sonny; he says they can threaten all they want as long as it ends here. Sonny tells Dante he knows what he’s up to with the business. Sonny tells Dante he wanted this so bad he could taste it but realized it cost too much. Sonny tells Dante he is nothing like him.

Sonny tells Dante he know it the minute he first held him. Sonny tells Dante that he’s better than him. Sonny had a fire within him that would cause him to lose his soul. Sonny is broken in ways Dante doesn’t understand. Sonny could live the life Dante wants but Dante can’t it will destroy him. Dante sets up a meeting on pier 55. Sam meets with Dante, and he tells her this is their chance to take over. Sam doesn’t want to take over; Sam wants out of the mob. Sam asks where the man she fell in love with went.

Dante tells Sam if she doesn’t like the life he’s given her she can leave, and he will find someone to take her place. Sam lays her rings on the counter, and Jason walks into the room. Jason asks if Sam is ok. Sam tells Jason she has to leave Port Charles, she wants to go to Montana or Wyoming. Sam asks Jason if he ever thought about leaving the mob and jumping on his motorcycle and riding away.

Jason tells Sam that Frank made him get rid of the bike. Jason gets a text to go to work. Jason leaves to go to Pier 55. Jason meets with Dante on Pier 55, and Dante shoots him. Sonny comes in and tells Dante not to shoot him again. Dante tells Sonny this is business. Dante tells Sonny he wants this and with Jason gone he will take over. Sonny stops Dante from shooting Jason, the gun goes off and shoots Dante.
