Days Of Our Lives RECAP Thursday, July 19: Theresa Bids A Tearful Goodbye

Days Of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Thursday, July 19, 2018 reveals,  Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) talks to Tripp (Lucas Adams) about Steve’s (Stephen Nichols) surgery. Claire wants to know If Tripp stopped by Ciara’s (Victoria Konefal) room.

Claire Accuses Ciara Of Only Wanting A Man That Would Hurt Her

Ciara walks through the door and Claire hangs up. Ciara tells Claire she didn’t have to get off the phone with her boyfriend because she walked through the door. Claire tells Ciara she was worried sick about her while she was gone. Ciara tells Claire she went after Tripp on purpose. Ciara tells Claire she goes after every man she cares about.

Ciara tells Claire she can have Tripp. Claire asks if Ciara is moving on with Ben (Robert Scott Wilson). Claire says a serial killer took Ciara hostage and now she’s defending him. Claire tries to tell Ciara that Ben didn’t rescue her out of the goodness of his heart. Claire calls Ciara naïve and accuses her of wanting to play house with a serial killer. Claire thanks Ciara has convinced herself she can only be with someone who will hurt her, like Ben (Robert Scott Wilson).

Rafe Says The Fire Was Arson

Days of Our Lives’ Ben is still at the police station, he’s thinking about Ciara. Hope (Kristian Alfonso) comes in and brings Ben his medication. Ben tells Hope he cares about Ciara, she says he doesn’t or wouldn’t have started that fire. Hope wants Ben to help her figure out how this happened to her daughter. Hope tells Ben what Ciara told her about getting up and passing out. Ben tries to figure out how the fire started, Hope accuses him of lying. Ben says the fire had to be an accident, Rafe (Galin Gering) says it wasn’t. Hope tells Ben there was only two people near that cabin and Ciara didn’t start the fire.

Ben says the report doesn’t make sense. Hope brings up that Ben was off his meds when the fire started. Ben tells Hope and Rafe that Ciara talked him down and he went to get his meds. Hope asks if it’s possible that Ben lost his grip on what was happening. Hope brings up voices and asks what they told Ben to do. Hope tells Ben the voices told him to do something he didn’t want to do. Hope tells Ben he didn’t have his pills then, the only way to stop them was to give in to what the voices told him to do. Hope keeps pushing Ben to say he started the fire. Ben tells Hope he didn’t start that fire, he cares about Ciara and she believes him. Rafe says they are charging him with attempted murder. Ben calls Ciara, he needs her help.

Jennifer Suspects The Child Service Worker

Days of Our Lives’ Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) is on the phone with a reporter about the fire, there is no proof against Ben. Eric (Greg Vaughan) joins Jennifer and they talk about the drugs. Jennifer is going to do everything she can to find out who planted those drugs. Eve (Kassie DePaiva) blames J.J. (Casey Moss) for the drugs at the apartment. Eve can’t believe the judge gave Theresa (Jen Lilley) custody. Eve wants to know why Jennifer believes J.J. Jennifer asks Eve is she knows how the drugs got into that apartment. Eric suggests Victor (John Aniston), Jennifer says no but Eve would do just about anything to help Brady (Eric Martsolf).

Jennifer points out how ruthless Eve can be. Eve tells Jennifer to stick to what she knows and go bake donuts for her boyfriend. Eve thinks back over her conversation with Brady about Eve. Eve says she knows something both Eric and Jennifer need to know. Eve tells Jennifer that J.J. shouldn’t have gotten involved in the custody battle and calls him a “holier than thou Horton”. Jennifer suggests the CPS worker planted the cocaine himself. Jennifer calls Adrienne (Judy Evans) and wants the CPS workers number that inspected J.J.’s apartment.

Maggie Asks Brady To Move Back Home

Days of Our Lives’ Brady buys Tate (Colin and Kyle Schroeder) a watch that ticks to remind him of the clock outside his old room. Brady tells Maggie (Susanne Rogers) he has been with Tate since the beginning and questions how this happened. Maggie tries to take Brady to an A.A, meeting, then invites him to move back to the mansion. Brady tells Maggie there is nothing he and Eve wouldn’t do for each other. Brady talks about Eve, she’s wonderful. Eve doesn’t deceive Brady or stab him in the back. Brady tells Maggie he’s better off where he is. Maggie takes Brady to the pub for lunch.

Kimberly’s Cancer Is Back

Days of Our Lives’ Theresa has Tate downstairs at the pub, she and J.J. are talking about her mom. Roman (Josh Taylor) is upstairs on the phone with Theresa’s dad getting an update. Kimberly’s (Patsy Pease) leukemia is back, Theresa feels bad for wanting her parents to visit. Theresa hugs J.J., she has her son back but is losing her mom. Theresa tells J.J. that she and Tate are going to be with her mom, she’s starting Chemo very soon. Theresa tells J.J. she and Tate are moving to California for good.
Theresa And Tate Are Moving To California

Brady tells Theresa she isn’t leaving with her son. Brady accuses Theresa of running now that she has Tate and tell her Justin is filing an appeal. Theresa is visibly upset and J.J. defends her telling Brady Theresa is going to her mom who may be dying. Maggie says she will be praying for Kimberly and wants to go visit with Tate. J.J. leaves Brady and Theresa to talk. Brady apologizes for assuming the worst. Theresa tells Brady she knows California is a long way away and life is so short. Theresa tells Brady the one time she wasn’t selfish, she lost him. Eve comes in and sees Brady and Theresa holding hands.

Brady tells Eve about Kimberly’s cancer. Eve wants to call Shane, Brady tells her Theresa will see him today. Theresa tells Eve she is moving to California with Tate. Eve asks Theresa to leave Tate there with Brady. Tate comes running downstairs and Theresa offers to leave him with Brady. Brady tells Tate he needs to stay with his mommy and go get to know his grandma in California. Theresa tells Tate they are about to get on a big airplane and to say goodbye to daddy.

Brady tells Theresa what a good mom she is. Theresa offers to let Eve says goodbye to Tate too, she says she will call him. Theresa asks Eve to take care of Brady for her, they hug and share I love you’s. Theresa tells Brady to come to visit any time he wants. Tate leaves his watch with Brady. J.J. waits for the cab with Theresa and Tate, they call each other friends and part.
