Days of Our Lives Recap November 20: Ciara And Tripp Break Up – Paul leaves Salem

Days Of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Monday, November 20, 2018, reveals Sheila (Toine “T-Boz” Watkins) throw up on Abe’s (James Reynolds) shoe, she tried to tell him she had food poisoning, he walks away. Abe sends Sheila to have his shoes cleaned and to pick up his extra pair of shoes from his office.

Valerie Has An Out Of Town Job Offer

Sheila asks if she still has a job, Abe says for the moment. Valerie (Vanessa Williams) comes in and wants to speak to Abe. Abe and Valerie set down to talk. Valerie got offered the chief of staff position at her old hospital. Valerie asks Abe to move with her. Abe tells Valerie has a commitment to the people of Salem. Valerie wants to try a long-distance relationship; Abe says no.

Valerie says the chief of staff is very important. Valerie says Abe is important too. Abe tells Valerie he isn’t important enough for her to stay with him. Abe tells Valerie if you love someone you want to be together. Valerie tells Abe he wants a relationship on his terms. Valerie says Abe wants her there with him, so he is never alone and says to hell with that. Valerie walks out on Abe; Sheila asks Abe if there is a problem when she sees how upset he is. Abe tells Sheila that Valerie chief of staff job offer.

Sheila tells Abe Valerie has been after that job since she and Eli (Lamon Archey) were kids. Sheila accuses Abe of being too selfish to be happy for Valerie. Abe asks how he’s the selfish one when Valerie is asking him to give up his life here. Sheila tells Abe he’s asking her to do the same and hasn’t even put a ring on it. Abe sends Sheila to answer phones at the office.

Paul Says Goodbye To John And Brady

Days of Our Lives’ Brady (Eric Martsolf) stops by Paul’s (Christopher Sean) and apologizes for telling him about Will (Chandler Massey) and Sonny (Freddie Smith). Paul tells Brady he confronted Will and set him free. Brady tells Paul that he will be ok and will find love again. Paul tells Brady that Will belongs with Sonny and moved out last night. Brady asks what Paul’s plans are, Paul, says he is leaving Salem. John (Drake Hogestyn) goes to visit Paul as well. Paul tells both John and Brady that he is going to be near his mom, the clinic there still has openings, and he could probably walk someday again.

Paul believes this is what is best for him. John looks at the information on the clinic and agrees with Paul. John asks how long he has until Paul leaves; there is a knock at the door. Paul tells John that is his answer. Paul’s therapist sees him as an inspiration because of his career, but he also inspired him when he came out and gave him courage. Paul apologizes for leaving John in the lurch with the company, but he’s so happy with the time they have spent together. Paul tells John he grew up thinking his father was dead,

John has surpassed every expectation he had of a father. John is proud of Paul for his big heart especially. John and Paul hug goodbye and share I love you. Paul tells John things have come full circle; he came to Salem needing surgery on his shoulder, he’s leaving needing another surgery back home. Paul says he owes Sonny and Will a lot.

Ben Confront Claire About Paying Wyatt Off

Days of Our Lives’ Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) tells Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) that he doesn’t like her playing him. Claire tells Ben she’s been doing whatever she can so Ben can have Ciara (Victoria Konefal), and she can have Tripp (Lucas Adams). Ben tells Claire everything except when she set him up to cover for Tripp. Claire says she didn’t know that Tripp set Ben up until after he was released so no harm, no foul.

Ben threatens to have Tripp arrest for this. Claire tells Ben she can’t turn Tripp in because he has priors and could get in trouble. Claire wants to know how Ben found out the truth. Ben tells Claire that he followed Wyatt (Scott Shilstone) and he told him the truth. Claire asks if Ben is going to tell Ciara, Ben says he already did. Ben wants to end his alliance with Claire; she asks why. Ben tells Claire he doesn’t trust her. Claire can’t believe the necktie killer doesn’t trust her.

Claire agrees to end their alliance, but Tripp and Ciara can never know. Tripp knew something was going on with her and Ben since they got back from the cabin. Tripp wants Ciara to tell him she doesn’t have feelings for Ben. Ciara can’t tell Tripp that, but her feelings for Ben doesn’t matter. Ciara comes barreling past Ben and tells him she and Tripp broke up. He asks if she wants to talk about it, she can’t discuss it, especially with him.

Ciara And Tripp Break Up

Days of Our Lives’ Tripp admits to planting evidence. Ciara tells Tripp he almost ruined Ben’s life. Tripp is only sorry because it didn’t work. Ciara tells Tripp that Ben has been innocent this whole time. Tripp tells Ciara Ben is the only person who could start that fire. Tripp says people don’t change from a killer to a good guy. Tripp tells Ciara she put not only her life, but his and Claire’s in danger. Ciara tells Tripp he even got her mom in trouble. Ciara can’t believe that Tripp is ok with Wyatt taking the blame for him.

Ciara thought Tripp was better than this but realizes she was wrong. Ciara tells Tripp he says Ben hasn’t changed, however, he hasn’t. Ciara thought Tripp learned his lesson from framing Kayla. Tripp says he saw it as protecting her. Tripp tells Ciara he did this for her, she tells him he did it for himself. Tripp asks how getting rid of Ben benefitted him. Ciara tells Tripp that he caused her to doubt Ben. Ciara tells Tripp she didn’t sleep with him until he destroyed her trust in Ben.

Tripp asks if she’s suggesting he manipulated her. Ciara says she slept with him without knowing the truth. Tripp asks if that means she would have sent him packing if Ben was still an option. Ciara doesn’t like that Tripp was lying to her when she slept with him. Tripp tells Ciara that he loves her and asks if she has feelings for Ben. Claire goes to speak to Tripp who tells her he and Ciara broke up. Claire tells Tripp she’s sorry, he says me too.

Marlena Offers Will Encouragement

Days of Our Lives’ John comes into Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) room, and she tells him Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) is releasing her. John and Marlena are kissing when Will comes in the room. Will apologizes for interrupting. John says they were going to stop by on the way home; Will tells them he is moving out.

Will tells Marlena he believes John hates him, she says no, he’s just worried about Paul. Will tells Marlena that Paul confronted him and he couldn’t lie to him. Will is concerned that Sonny hasn’t called him back, Marlena tells him to give it time. Will gets a call from Adrienne; he hopes she has learned Sonny’s plans.
