Coronation Street Legend Malcolm Hebden To Return To The Cobbles Next May

Coronation Street Legend Malcolm Hebden To Return To The Cobbles Next MayAfter a year of absence, Coronation Street’s Malcolm Hebden who plays Norris Cole will finally return to Weatherfield next year.

Hebden has been part of the show since 1994. He last appeared on the soap in December 2017, before he had a heart attack. He’s been trying to regain back his health ever since. Now that he is in good condition, the 78-year-old Corrie legend is expected to return to the screens next May. What do you think will happen once he returns to the Cobbles?

In an interview with Lorraine, Dan Wootton revealed that the show’s bosses confirmed Hebden’s return. “He suffered a really serious heart attack last year, he’s 78-years-old. There were some question marks over whether he would return to Weatherfield, there were rumors over the weekend about this.”

Wootton definitely cleared things up and viewers can expect to see once again one of their favorite Corrie characters.

Malcolm Hebden’s disappearance from the show mystified the audience of Coronation Street. It took months before it was finally revealed that the actor suffered from an illness. In an interview with the Blackpool Gazette, he said he was in an induced coma at the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit for the most part of December last year.

He had no idea he was dying. Mr. Joseph Zacharias, who spearheaded the cardiac team, saved his life and informed him that he had at least one heart attack. He was brought to Blackburn hospital where he spent just one night. However, things turned for the worse. He collapsed and was then transferred to Blackpool Victoria, where he had a “groundbreaking” operation. When he had the heart attack, it created a hole in his heart. Dr. Zacharias still took the chance to perform the risky operation and it was a success.

Now that Nosey Norris is sure to make a come back to the cobbles, what could fans expect on the show? What changes or drama will Norris bring? Stay tuned to find out.
