The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Dina Out of Control – Reckless Act Endangers Lives

Dina (Marla Adams) continues to inject trouble into Genoa City on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Her arrival from Paris earlier this year introduced the Abbott family to her quixotic companion, Graham (Max Shippee), sparked ongoing fights with her children and has now resulted in the torching of The Underground.

Jack (Peter Bergman) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) were wise. They convinced Dina to come home from Florida and then set her up at the Abbott mansion. However, Jack didn’t keep a watchful eye on his mother and she slipped out.

The seeming effects of the stroke Dina recently had produced disastrous consequences, as she left the family home in her robe and slippers. Dina took an old thirty-three and one-third record Jack bought for her and a black and white photo of Brent Davis (Bert Kramer).

How Madame Mergeron found her way to Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Noah’s (Robert Adamson) nightclub was surely a soapy point in the plot. Did she use a ride share service, somehow walk there, drive or hitchhike (wink)? How did she know where that hot spot was? Why did she choose to go there? And, how did she get inside?

All those questions didn’t matter as Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu), Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) and Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) were waiting in the office. The aforementioned Noah foolishly gave his cousin the keys so Reed could get his guitar, or so he claimed. Vickie’s (Amelia Heinle) son actually wanted to party with the twins and their friends. Instead, they became trapped in an inferno that was caused by Dina’s carelessness.

Brent’s long-ago fling was attempting to burn his photo when she spilled kerosene liquid across the bar. She didn’t intentionally start the fire before she shuffled out of the twice-doomed establishment. Devoted Y&R viewers recall that The Underground collapsed a few years ago, trapping a variety of characters, including Jack and Victor (Eric Braeden) in the rubble.

Since it seemed as though Dina never left the Abbott homestead evidence will need to be found to prove her presence in that setting. In the meantime, just as Graham predicted, Jack and Ashley will have their hands full.
