The Young and the Restless Star Burgess Jenkins Lands New Exciting RoleFans have not seen The Young and the Restless star Burgess Jenkins on the small screen for quite some time now, but that doesn’t mean he’s disappeared from acting all together. Burgess, who mans fans remember as Billy Abbott on the hit soap, will next be seen in an exciting new role!

Reports indicate that Burgess will next be seen in the television movie, Christmas on the Coast. The film stars July Ann Emery (from Better Call Saul fame). The film is about a romance novelist who returns home to write a brand new novel after realizing that her career isn’t what it used to be. Her sales have slipped on her existing work and she needs a new book to help boost things to where they were before. That’s when she meets Burgess’ character, a handsome young man named Brysen Flynn. There’s a strong possibility that sparks might fly and that Brysen might find his way inside the pages of a hot new romance novel. Of course, fans will just have to tune in to see what will happen!

Christmas on the Coast will also star Bonnie Bedelia. The movie was filmed on the coast of Georgia. So far there’s no debut date, although Gary Wheeler, Vice President of Original Movies for INSP said the movie “reminds us to take stock of those things in life that are truly important, and to let go of what isn’t.” Either way, fans can’t wait to see Burgess in this new exciting role. So far has hasn’t made any comments about the project.
