The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Phyllis Attempts To Secure Billy – Vickie Remains a Threat

Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) has Billy (Jason Thompson) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But this isn’t your mother’s Miss Summers, meaning the one who was embodied by Michelle Stafford. Instead, a more vulnerable version of Phyllis might not be able to retain the man she wants regardless of her obvious appeal.

Vickie (Amelia Heinle) isn’t exhibiting a current intent to pursue her two-time ex-husband. But she’s also just solved a tenuous business problem, which included giving Cane (Daniel Goddard) the boot. With him gone and Juliet (Laur Allen) having previously been fired, Brash and Sassy’s staff has shrunk significantly.

In the short-term Vickie and Billy will be spending more extended work time together, which will create opportunities for chemistry to be revived. As long as Billy doesn’t file a false harassment suit against Vickie, like Juliet did against Cane (a wink at the supposedly offended), then the framework for rebuilding ‘Villy’ will exist.

Billy genuinely likes Phyllis and she likes him. But a deep love surely doesn’t glisten when they’re together, does it?

A pair of relationships that saw Phyllis ousted by Jack (Peter Bergman) and Billy seemingly pushed back by Vickie last year resulted in ‘Philly’ Part I. The current mashed name sequel happened because Phyllis remained single, while Billy was again told no by the mother of his children.

Imagine for a moment that Phyllis announces that she’s pregnant. Yes, she’s mature now. But Phyllis is hardly incapable of achieving that status, which would secure her connection to Billy forever. Sharon (Sharon Case) realized what Phyllis was capable of when she thought ‘Shick’ was eternal.

Vickie’s task will hardly be easy if she does decide to pursue Billy again. If Mr. Abbott posts photos of Phyllis in her swimsuit at the Genoa City Athletic Club rooftop pool, Miss Newman will realize that her foe is formidable. Yet, the emotional pull that Vickie holds over Billy would still likely tip the scales in her favor. But she’d have to work hard to regain his trust, which is truly reflective of where this triangle’s angles circa 2017.
