Soap Opera Ratings Week of August 14 -18, 2017 – B&B and DOOL on the Rise, Y&R and GH Continue to Disappoint ViewersThe Soap Opera ratings for the week of August 14 through August 18, 2017 have been reported by Soap Opera Network. Daytime viewers need to remember that there were pre-emptions on Tuesday and Thursday.

CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) made a major jump adding 93,000 in total viewership bringing their totals up to 3,474,000. NBC’s Day of Our Lives has also climbed up the ladders adding 5,000 total viewers to 2,014,000; they may be at the bottom but it looks like their storylines are finally bringing in more viewers.

CBS’ The Young and the Restless took a tumble in their ratings losing 78,000 in total viewership, leaving them with 4,166,000 viewers but they aren’t the worst this week with ABC’s General Hospital losing 110,000 in viewers.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES

The NBC soap opera is a little bit down with 6,000 less viewers than the precious week when it comes to women viewers between the ages of 18-49. Maybe its the storyline that Dr.Marlene Evans (Deidre Hall) has once again be replaced by look-a-like, Hattie Adams; that is boring fans with the lover-played “twin” story; even the return of Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) hasn’t been able to shoot the ratings up!

GENERAL HOSPITAL

The ABC’s daytime drama was mostly over Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) found near death and rescued by his concerned wife, Carly (Laura Wright) but clearly something is amiss and sonny, once again, hides the truth from Carly. GH’s Dr. Giffin Munro (Matt Cohen) seems to be playing more attention to his burn patient, Ava Jerome (Maura West) outside the hospital; could a romance be blossoming between these two?

According to ratings viewers do not seem to pleased without how everything is unfolding as female viewers between 18-49 seem to be tuning out and General Hospital losy another 11,000 viewers since the previous week.

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

Women aged 18-49 seem to be thoroughly enjoying what is happening as their viewership raised by 11,000 compared to the week before. Could it be that everyone is tired of Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) actions and never having to face the consequences of his actions or is everyone waiting for the epic showdown between Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) and Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown)?

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

CBS’ The Young and the Restless still remains at the top of every rating and viewership, even gaining 19,000 viewers among women aged 18-49. Its unclear how fans are responding to Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Ravi Shapur (Abhi Sinha) flirtations and time away together but its clear people are intend on seeing what unfolds between former spouses, Victoria Newman (Ameila Heinle) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and whether someone will finally do something about her erratic behavior.
