General Hospital News: ABC To Air Tribute To The Late Peter HansenGeneral Hospital (GH) news indicates that the ABC Soap will be airing an episode very soon in honor of the late Peter Hansen, who portrayed the role of Scott Baldwin’s (Kin Shriner) father starting in 1965 through 2004. Afterward, Peter Hansen made the decision to retire from acting, however, he did appear at the off-screen 50th Anniversary party in 2013 alongside his former on-screen wife Susan Brown.

Back in 1979, Hansen won a Daytime Emmy Award for his portrayal as Lee Baldwin on General Hospital. Peter Hansen reportedly passed away on April 9th, 2017 at the age of 95 at his home located in Tarzana, California. According to a recent twitter message posted by actor, Kin Shriner, he confirmed that General Hospital will in fact, be paying their respects to the late Peter Hansen by airing a tribute episode in his Peter Hansen’s memory.

There is also speculation that fans will be seeing some familiar faces showing up in this tribute episode as they are paying their respects to Hansen. One of the faces that is being rumored to be in attendance will be Kin Shriner’s on-screen daughter, Serena Baldwin who is said to be portrayed by the original actress, Carly Schoeder. The reports of a tribute episode for the late Peter Hansen have been rumored for quite some time now.

Kin Shriner has confirmed that an episode will indeed air on ABC. There is no word if an on-screen funeral will take place for the character or if General Hospital will simply air an episode showing past scenes featuring Peter Hansen in his role as Lee Baldwin.
