General Hospital Maurice Benard Confirms Steve Burton is Portraying Jason!

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Maurice Benard, who portrays Port Charles mobster and Jason Morgan’s best friend, Sonny Corinthos on the ABC daytime drama has confirmed on his Twitter account that Steve Burton IS Jason, with fans agreeing that Steve is the ONLY Jason! How excited are you that the truth is finally exposed?

GH sources have toyed with the idea of how both Billy Miller, who is currently playing Jason Morgan and Steve Burton could possibly be the same person, including stories of them being twins. Both men are fantastic actors and bring their own “spin” to the character which has fans twisting in the wind because die-hard Burton fans feel there is no one who can play the role he portrayed for over 20 years while others have grown to love Billy Miller’s version of the Quartermaine heir.

General Hospital spoilers tease that the upcoming storyline will be epic and affect so many citizens of Port Charles. Currently, Jason Morgan(Billy Miller) is fighting for his life after being shot, ironically after him and mob father, Sonny Corinthos negotiated their retirement.

Miller’s version of Jason is softer, calmer and much more emotional than the Jason that Burton played; which made it difficult for fans to warm up to Miller, who acted more like the older, Jason Quartermaine who was interested in following his family’s legacy and join his parents in the medical field where Burton changed drastically after a tragic accident causing him to become stone cold and turning his back on everyone in his family except his sister, Emily Quartermaine (Natalia Livingston) and grandmother, the much loved and kind-hearted Lila Quartermaine (the late-Anna Lee).

General Hospital fans can only imagine what it will be like for Samantha “Sam” Morgan (Kelly Monaco) when she finds out that she married and had a second child with a man who isn’t who she thought it was. Exciting times ahead for all those in Port Charles!
