‘General Hospital’ News: Kirsten Storms And Maxie Jones Replacement Molly Burnett Are BFF’s!

General Hospital’s Kirsten Storms, who portrays the part of Maxie Jones just recently had to be replaced temporarily due to health issues. According to ABC Soaps In Depth magazine “Some fans of General Hospital were not pleased to see Molly Burnett taking over as Maxie for Kirsten Storms during her sick leave, but Storms herself took to social media to let everyone know how much she loves her replacement!”

Kirsten Storms wrote on her Instagram “I bet some of you didn’t know that Molly and I have been buddies for years! Or that she was one of the few friends I invited to my wedding party back in the day. And she tore up the dance floor that night.”

Shortly after Molly Burnett took over the part of Maxie Jones on General Hospital she tweeted “ Thank you, Port Charles, for letting me visit. Kirsten is so talented and created such a fun character, it was an honor to step in for a few.”

It is always hard on fans when a character they have got to know and love gets replaced but luckily for us Kirsten Storms leave was only temporary. Molly Burnett has done an amazing job portraying Maxie Jones part. A lot of fans have even said they would like to see her come back on General Hospital but as a new character. Would you like to see that?

General Hospital’s Kirsten Storms was battling with some skin problems that were caused by stress. She said it was getting harder to hide on the show so she needed to take some time off to get back to her healthy self. Which is very understandable and we are happy to report that she is all better now. Storms is currently scheduled to return in the episode airing Wednesday, August 3rd.

We are very thankful that Molly Burnett was able to fill in as Maxie Jones and do such an awesome job while Kirsten Storms was taking time off to heal.
