“The Young and the Restless” Thursday October 29, 2015 previews tease that the show is about to experience another catastrophe during sweep month. It looks like the show is setting it up to showcase a fire and explosion at a Halloween gala thrown to honor Delia Abbott [Sophie Pollono]. The extravagant event will be hosted by Nikki Newman [Melody Thomas Scott]and Phyllis Abbott [Gina Tognoni].
Kevin [Greg Rikaart] is desperately trying to stop the Paragon virus from destroying both Newman and Jabot. Jack [Peter Bergman] and Victor [Eric Braeden] are worried the virus will bankrupt both companies at the rate it’s going. Kevin says,” Look if you want me to stop the virus from attacking both company’s you two will have to manage to work together, think you can do that?”
At the top of Newman Towers, Nikki asked the service person to check on the flickering lights. She said, “Can you please check on these flickering lights? I need to make sure it won’t be a problem at the event.” She is trying to get the area ready for an elaborate event, and is not able to set it up with flickering lights. She was seen straightening Delia’s picture in front of a stage. It looks like the clip is trying to throw viewers off- hinting that faulty wiring could cause the fiery blaze.
At Genoa City Hospital, Chelsea [Melissa Claire Egan] is at Adam’s [Justin Hartley] bedside. He tells her with a look of true panic, “Chelsea I cannot feel my legs right now?” For a while, it has been speculated that Adam could end up paralyzed or permanently injured. It looks like the writers are going that route for him. In just a few days, the fire will start, and we will finally know what four Genoa City resident will die- thus leave the show for good.
