- In 2013, Finola made her film directing debut with the indie comedy The Bet.
- Finola directed her second film, Byrd and the Bees in 2015.
- Finola has been nominated for many SOD awards and Daytime Emmy Awards and won a Soap Opera Digest award for Favorite Return on All My Children.
- Final is married to Russell Young, the two tied the knot in 1992.
- Finola and Russell have three children together, two boys and a girl.
