The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Philly In Jeopardy – Phyllis Losing Her Man To Victoria

Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) used to be fierce on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But that was yesterday. Today, she’s been written as a vulnerable character who just might lose Billy (Jason Thompson) to her rival. Yes, Vickie (Amelia Heinle) has momentum.

The Jabot business plan that Billy learned about through his espionage efforts directly affects Phyllis. She’s about to face questions of betrayal from the man she claims to love.

Vickie’s conversation with Ravi (Abhi Sinha) exposed the fact that Phyllis met with Benjamin (Ben Hermes) on the Genoa City Athletic Club’s rooftop. That nugget will be passed by Vickie to Billy, who will then question Phyllis. Tense will be the word to describe how that conversation flows.

With trust being broken, what comes next? Further strife, while Billy seeks solace with Vickie. Mix in some type of unresolved head trauma issue that will inevitably lead to a health crisis and Vickie stands to become Billy’s top personal concern.

The future of ‘Philly’ is more in doubt than it’s ever been. Billy’s confirmation that Phyllis not only knew of Jack’s (Peter Bergman) plan to sink Jabot, but also was involved with it spells serious relationship trouble. It’s fair to speculate that this couple may well be headed to imminent ruin as well.

Jack pitched his Brash and Sassy plot to Phyllis as helpful to her. If Vickie’s company went under, Billy would be separated from Victoria. However, by coercing the former Mrs. Abbott into assisting, Jack also made her a co-conspirator and thus a future target of Billy’s wrath. Who doubts that was part of Jack’s initial calculation?

Tognoni’s version of Phyllis was purposely created to give this fine actor a different path to play on. Michelle Stafford’s edition would likely not have taken Jack’s bait in this storyline.

Make no mistake, Jack will smile twice if Brash and Sassy is toppled and Phyllis’ loses her relationship with Billy. Savvy viewers see that foreshadowing and know that Vickie and Billy could wind up together again.
