Welcome To GC, Dr. Laurence Markham
The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, June 15 confirm that veteran actor Jere Burns will debut as Dr. Laurence Markham.
Reports reveal he’ll be a part of a multi-episode storyline that involves Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters).
In fact, Dr. Markham has partnered with Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) to keep Diane hostage and gaslight her into believing she’s being watched over because of a mental health breakdown.
In a fun twist, this storyline will reunite Burns and Walters after three decades, as the twosome once worked on the sitcom, Dear John, together. The NBC series was on the air from 1988 to 1992.
In addition to Dear John, Burns has worked on Breaking Bad, Justified, as well as Good Morning Miami, Something So Right.
He’s also had appearances on primetime shows like Dead to Me and NCIS: Los Angeles – just to name a few. Beth Maitland will also get more airtime this week as Traci Abbott.
During the Monday, June 15 show, Traci will confront Patty about Diane’s disappearance, and see her with Dr. Markham.
