The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Hilary Stuck Between Devon and Mariah – Mevon Still Developing

Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Devon (Bryton James) do have chemistry on ‘The Young and the Restless’. They also appear to have long-term couple potential. But Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) aura is preventing their romance from developing as of now on Y&R.

Devon believes that Hilary was the love of his life. Whether he holds that opinion in the future remains to be seen. But she surely did touch his soul. Surprisingly, his wallet turned out to not be a revenge priority.

Actually, Hilary’s choice to only ask for GC Buzz in a divorce settlement confirms that she did actually love Devon. She’s since moved onto Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood). While that pairing could easily lead to a full-blown relationship or eventual marriage, Hilary has likely grabbed Mr. Wilde (Brash and Sassy’s lead photographer) to compensate for Devon’s loss. Yes, it’s a rebound, at least for now.

However, Mariah detected that Devon is rebounding as well. While he likes Mariah and finds her attractive, it’s far too soon for him to have gotten Hilary out of his head (and heart). Mariah doesn’t want to spoil this chance at a real romance, for either party, and she’s wisely put the breaks on ‘Mevon’. That reads better than ‘Dariah’, right?

Mariah’s romantic path has been skewed since she arrived in Genoa City. Her past relationship with Tyler (Redaric Williams) wasn’t positive, as she wronged her former love interest before both characters came to Wisconsin. He was Leslie’s (Angel Conwell) brother. Leslie is a recurring character who was once involved with Neil (Kristoff St. John) and whose legal skills as an attorney have often been used.

Kevin (Greg Rikaart) proved to be a friend, not boyfriend material. So Devon isn’t a fallback plan for Mariah. Instead, he’s a true friend who’s now seen in a deeper light.

Mariah and Devon should casually pursue their evolving connection and see what happens. They’re two good souls. So hopefully they can create a nice future together.
