The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) could be on a collision course with Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) and any danger that might be looming.
Will another one of Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) children face a life-threatening ordeal because of Matt?
The clock is ticking when it comes to Matt’s inevitable return to the sinister side. There’s likely going to come a point when Matt’s nice guy act will evaporate and send him reverting to the man he used to be.
Let’s face it: Matt already appears to be headed down that path. We’re not seeing the same Matt who cried over his horrible actions and insisted he’d rather die than become that villain again.
Now Matt’s grumbling over everyone who’s standing in the way of his attempt at a fresh start. Matt has accepted that he may never earn forgiveness from some of the people he’s wronged the most, but he’d at least like to be left alone.
Y&R fans know that’s not going to happen since many Genoa City residents still view Matt as a threat. Matt’s going to face more disdain around town, so his resentment may grow stronger.
Both Sharon and Mariah recently pressured Matt to leave town like he previously talked about, but he refused.
Matt wants to stick around GC, where he’s romantically involved with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and ready to tackle his new job at Arabesque.
Of course, things could change for Matt if his job falls through and his romance with Phyllis ends in heartbreak. Once there’s nothing left for Matt, his worst tendencies may become too powerful to resist.
With Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) back in Los Angeles with Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) off-screen too, Mariah may be next in line when it comes to Matt’s list of targets.
It makes sense that Matt might eventually go after Sharon’s newly returned daughter, particularly since Mariah is standing against him now.
The harder Mariah tries to drive Matt out of Genoa City, the angrier he may become. What happens when Matt’s rage reaches a limit and the old version of him comes roaring to the surface?
