Y&R Spoilers: Adam Blackmails Victoria – Kyle Affair Hands Him the Newman Throne?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that the show could have another blackmail crisis on the horizon. Who might discover a scandalous secret and make that knowledge work in their favor?

Despite Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) efforts to stay on a better path, his worst impulses may spell trouble. Could a blackmail plot be brewing that leaves Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) at Adam’s mercy?

Victoria actually had good things to say about Adam recently despite Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) concerns about him.

It seemed like Victoria surprised even herself by defending Adam’s positive transformation.

Of course, that feels like the perfect setup for Victoria to ultimately be proven wrong! Y&R may be laying the groundwork for Adam to revert to bad behavior and leave Victoria feeling betrayed by her brother.

With all the close scenes that Victoria and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) have been sharing, it’s easy to see where this is going.

The show’s inching Kyle and Victoria toward a more passionate connection that could cause chaos.

That means Victoria and Kyle could launch a hot fling soon enough. Kyle and Victoria will presumably end up in a forbidden romance of some sort, so it’s just a matter of time until someone finds out!

That someone could be Adam if he suspects something’s up and kicks off an investigation. Adam might even specifically go on the hunt for blackmail material that he can use to his advantage.

Regardless, Adam could hit the jackpot if he discovers Victoria is hitting the sheets with Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) son! It could leave Adam with some significant leverage since Victoria would surely want this kept quiet.

We could certainly imagine Adam pointing out all the damage he could do by blowing up a secret like this. Adam could ruin Victoria’s relationship with Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) by revealing that her mom’s landed in bed with her former flame.

Adam could also turn Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) against his beloved daughter and ignite yet another round of the Newman-Abbott feud. Perhaps Adam will highlight all this to Victoria and demand something in exchange for his silence.

Adam may decide he wants the Newman throne for himself and push Victoria to give him the CEO spot. Victoria might have to step down and convince Victor to hand Adam the job instead.

Then again, Adam might settle on something else to demand from Victoria depending on what happens between now and then. Victoria could be forced to do just about anything Adam says if she wants to keep her secret Kyle scandal under wraps.

Whatever the case, there have been some warning signs in recent months about Adam potentially not sticking with all the positive changes he’s made.
