The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of May 11-15 hint at some major moments ahead in Genoa City, plus a flurry of casting news!
Find out who’s coming and who’s going on the CBS soap over the next five days (and beyond) below.
Jill Abbott Recast News
The Young and the Restless spoilers note that Days of Our Lives star Lauren Koslow, who plays Kate Roberts Brady on the Peacock soap, will be temporarily stepping into the Jill Abbott role. She’ll be debuting on the CBS daytime drama starting on June 25.
The actress who’s been playing Jill since 1987, Jess Walton, was unavailable to film due to a scheduling conflict, so Koslow was called in.
Walton is a recurring character on the show, and according to reports, will be returning to the show at some point in the future.
It’s important to note that this temporary recast job does not mean that Koslow, who’s also a recurring character on DOOL, is leaving Days anytime soon.
A spokesperson for the Peacock soap told TV Insider, “DAYS is happy to be able to share Lauren with Y&R, and this does not affect her status with the show in any way.”
Dr. Stephanie Simmons Status
Meanwhile, fans need to gear up for another character return shortly. Dr. Stephanie Simmons recently exited the canvas to head to New York to help Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) with his bone marrow surgery prep; however, she will be heading back to Genoa City at some point in the near future.
The character portrayer, Vivica A. Fox, did speak with Soap Opera Digest (SOD), confirming Stephanie would be returning at some point soon, and there are some bombshells fans need to brace for when she does come back!
