Y&R Comings And Goings 2026: Exits, Returns, New Arrivals, Recasts + Airdates

The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that Genoa City can be a flurry of activity when it comes to new characters entering the little town and then leaving. Find out more, below about all the casting news that has taken place in 2026 below

Exciting Recast News

Days of Our Lives star Lauren Koslow, who plays Kate Roberts Brady on the soap, is slated to temporarily fill in for Jess Walton in the Jill Abbott role. She’ll enter storylines starting June 25.

Unfortunately, Walton, who’s played Jill since 1987, was unavailable due to a scheduling conflict.

According to reports, Walton, who is under recurring status, will return to the CBS soap at some point in the future. In addition, Koslow, who’s also recurring on DOOL, isn’t leaving Days anytime soon.

In other recast news, Dominic Winters-Chancellor was SORASED in 2026, when Ethan Ray Clark was recast in the role. The little guy first appeared on the show this past January 23.

Clark took over for twins, Rainn and River Ware, who played Dominic, Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway), and Devon Hamilton Winters’ (Bryton James) son from 2021 to 2024.

Shocking Returns

There was a massive blast from the past during the week of April 6-10 when Malcolm Winters and Dr. Stephanie Simmons returned to Genoa City, with the original actors who played the parts, Shemar Moore and Vivica A. Fox, reprising the roles.

While Moore quickly exited the canvas about a week later, Simmons continues to pop into storylines.

Speaking of shocking returns, Roger Howarth, who plays vile villain Matt Clark, popped back up on the canvas during the April 1 episode.

Lily Winters made her splashing comeback during the March 26, 2026, episode as Christel Khalil reprised the role. Khalil exited the canvas in early January to give birth to her third child and take maternity leave.

Meanwhile, Young and the Restless fans received a hint of nostalgia when Riza Thomson, played by Tina Casciani, returned to storylines on March 23.

Elsewhere, Stacy Haiduk reprised her Patty Williams role, a part she left about a decade ago in 2016, this past March 6. When fans last saw Patty, she was severely mentally unstable, and it seemed as if she’d live the rest of her years in a facility.

With that said, Patty returned, seemingly healthy in the head, but still has an unhealthy obsession with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
