Hunter King On 9-1-1: Nashville
According to SoapOperaNews.net, King is slated to play a young Blythe Hart during the Thursday, February 26 episode of 9-1-1: Nashville.
The show is titled ‘Don Begins’ and centers on a terrible housefire that reshaped Don Hart (Chris O’Donnell).
There will be flashbacks and provide details on how Don met Blythe (Jessica Capshaw) and Dixie Bennings (LeAnn Rimes). King will have ‘flashback’ scenes with Ben Winchell, who’s been cast as a young Don Hart.
9-1-1: Nashville airs on ABC on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET, and episodes can be streamed the next day on Hulu.
Hunter King’s Career
King played Summer Newman on The Young and the Restless from 2012 to 2016 and 2018 to 2022. She won two Daytime Emmys in a row – one in 2014 and 2015 – within the Outstanding Younger Actress category.
In addition to her time in soaps, Hunter has filmed multiple popular Hallmark movies, including Hidden Gems, A Royal Corgi Christmas, The Professional Bridesmaid, The Santa Summit, and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love – just to name a few.
King also recently appeared in CBS’s comedy series, Life in Pieces, playing Clementine Hughes, and has also been on Without a Trace, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Roswell.
While King left the Summer Newman role in 2022, Allison Lanier was recast in the part later that year and exited in 2025.
Right now, Summer is living her best life in Italy, and her name remains a staple in storylines and dialogue, even though it’s been almost a year since she left the canvas. Will Summer ever return? Only time will tell.
