Who Is Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s New PR Chief?

Who Is Prince Harry And Meghan Markle's New PR Chief?

This December saw the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s team face some major internal reshuffling, with four key staff members sadly leaving the team during that time period.

If you don’t already know what this means: it means that Harry and Meghan are in the red when it comes to hiring and retaining staff – a rotten luck that seems to have chased them all the way from the UK.

However, regardless of these setbacks, Harry and Meghan are by no means inclining their heads and accepting defeat. Nope. They’ve already found someone else to step up and represent their brand to the world. Who’s this person, you ask? Well keep reading and we’ll have you caught up in a jiffy.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Promote Aide Who Helped Broker Buckingham Palace Peace Meeting

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a new PR chief in the way of Liam Maguire, Harry’s military pal, who played a key role in the peace talks between Harry and his father, King Charles.

This comes after it was revealed this December that PR boss Meredith Maines has left the Sussex team. She was only promoted to the position a year ago, which makes her exit even the more incredible.

In addition to Maines’ shocking exit, the Sussexes have also separated from their external PR consultancy firm.

This means that Liam Maguire, who has worked for the ‘Spare’ author for more than a decade, is the last man standing when it comes to the couple’s PR team.

The situation may seem dire, but considering Maguire’s background, he may be the right call to help dig up the Sussexes’ floundering reputation and save it from plummeting straight down to the grave.

Previously a deputy to Maines prior to her exit, Maguire’s work was mainly focused on Harry’s work, with the veteran splitting his time between London and Cornwall.

This also means he’d get to remotely manage Harry and Meghan’s team in the US, which has a time difference of 8 hours to the UK.

Maguire first came into the picture when he helped Prince Harry launch Invictus Games back in 2014. From there, he proceeded to handle comms for Prince Harry’s former charity Sentebale, amongst others.

With Maines’ departure, the Sussexes have reportedly lost a total number of 11 publicists since they flew to America to carve their own path. Let’s hope Maguire isn’t soon the 12th. With all the shared history, it’d be pretty damn laughable if he were.
