The streaming app confirmed on September 18 that Sweet Magnolias was officially canceled after five seasons.

Sweet Magnolias Ends On Netflix
Netflix introduced Sweet Magnolias in May 2020, the first season was a massive hit. Over the past five years, fans have fallen in love with Dana Sue, Maddie, and Helen and the cozy town of Serenity.
The final season of Sweet Magnolias was released in June 2026. Deadline announced there would be no more episodes of the popular show, however Netflix hasn’t released an official statement regarding the cancellation.
The streaming giant did however announce that there’s a new show coming that Magnolias fans WON’T want to miss.
JoAnna Garcia Swisher’s New Netflix Show
Fan fave JoAnna Garcia Swisher (Maddie) is reportedly sticking around at Netflix, and just booked a brand new show.
Swisher will appear in a new series called “Ladies Of The House,” and it’s based on a series of books by Lauren Edmondson.
Sweet Magnolias showrunner Sheryl Anderson has also signed on as a producer and will be working on the new project too. So, what is Ladies Of The House about?
According to Netflix’s official statement, “So what’s being poured at this family winery? When its charismatic owner dies unexpectedly, his wife and two adult daughters must battle through their issues with each other in order to confront challenges with the business, their extended family, and the men in their lives.”
