Prince William Still Hasn’t Read ‘Spare,’ Expert Claims

When ‘Spare’ dropped in January 2023, several million people around the world were in a rush to get their hands on it, so much so that it sold 1.4 million copies in its first 24 hours alone.

However, as the world struggled to get their hands on what was deemed “the most caustic and candid royal memoir ever written” by Royal biographer Robert Hardman, Prince William was apathetic.

Three years on, he and wife Princess Kate are yet to touch the book with a ten-foot pole. Oh well, perhaps William and Kate are both practicing the maxim that what you don’t know can’t kill you.

Prince William Was Disappointed By Harry’s Betrayal of “Fraternal Secrets”

When Prince Harry, 41, hurled a series of accusations the Royal Family’s way, anyone might be forgiven for assuming that Prince William will soon be releasing a statement to defend his pride and honor.

But to this very day, William is still to make one single comment that could be alluded to his brother’s bestselling memoir. Turns out he hasn’t even read it yet, per the clues Hardman unearthed.

Hardman shared: “His staff remain adamant that he and the Princess [of Wales] refused to open a book which has caused so much pain.”

Harry received $20 million from Penguin Random House for the memoir, which he worked on with a ghostwriter.

Tagged a wholly truthful account of his life, Harry rarely held back from disclosing a series of private moments, including losing his virginity at 17 and doing a number of different drugs with friends.

In it, he also detailed a fight with William, where his necklace was broken and he was knocked into a dog bowl.

This incident happened just as Harry and Meghan got ready to quit their roles and move across the ocean and build a new life in America.

Harry recalled the altercation, writing, “He set down the water, called me another name, then came at me. It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”

Whilst William hasn’t exactly read the memoir word for word, some details obviously have reached his ears. According to an insider, the little he learned caused him some grief at how Harry casually divulged “so many fraternal secrets.”
