This July saw King Charles and Queen Camilla reunite with every one of the Sussex family.
While the reunion was likely a very sweet one, with the King meeting his American-based grandchildren for the first time since 2022, it was all done in secrecy and details about it have so far remained private.
Now that the private reunion is done and over with, Prince Harry is reportedly looking forward to a future where he and his father King Charles share the same spotlight once again.

Prince Harry Invited King Charles To the 2027 Invictus Games For This Reason
King Charles has reportedly received his copy of the 2027 Invictus Games’ invitation card. Hosted by Birmingham, Harry is said to be anxious to make it a grand one for the sake of the competing veterans. To do this, he kind of needs royal backing.
But aside from the fact that a public reunion with King Charles would certainly boost press for the Games, reporter Russell Myers believes it’s not the main reason Harry is pushing for it.
According to Myers, Harry has truly come a long way since “slinging mud from across the pond” to be able to genuinely wish for his family to appear alongside him in something he is obviously passionate about.
“I believe it’s a genuine wish to reconcile with his father,” Myers said, adding, “Whether the rest of the royal family will be there, I’m not so sure on this occasion.”
However, per an insider speaking to The Mirror, Harry’s intentions are not so simple. “Harry’s intention is two fold. He would love the King’s support at the Games, while having his father by his side would also add considerable weight to his argument for security for his family to accompany him on the trip,” the insider revealed.
Another source said, “Harry will reportedly extend an invitation to the Invictus Games to King Charles, in what is seen as a major olive branch from the estranged royal, who wishes for a public reunion with his father.”
How King Charles’ Aides Are Reacting To Prince Harry’s Reunion Plans
It’s not a secret thing that Harry and “the men in grey suit” – as he prefers to call them – are not really on the best footing.
Following King Charles’ brief reunion with Harry and family, his top aide Sir Clive Alderton announced that he would be leaving his role.
Journalist Tom Sykes had this to say about it: “I would not be surprised to see departures from the king’s staff over the coming months as a result of all this. Some aides are very, very unhappy.”
